Blessings and cursings

I was told that there are some who pray cursings on people thinking it is th will of God..People who believe others need to lose everything to be humbled..praying that everything be taken away from them....I have seen the ones who have been victims of this type of prayer..and it is so sad to see that many fall ways due to not understanding why such is happening to them..Could it be that it is out of jealousy that prayers like this are being prayed or an it be that there is no true fellowship in which one can confess to one another that they be healed from whatever the problem is..I have also seen th product of "God told me to tell you this"...Please if anyone has been a vicim of this..go to the word and seek out what God does say for yourself..Know that you are loved and the Lord wants good for you..He does not take away what is not imoprtant..What He does take away is sin and sees it no more when you becoem a christian and wants you to grow and depend on Him..not people but Him more and more..If you have been hurt through your family..curch..the Lord knows and hears your cries even when others do not and He comforts you..There are many wounded that need to know this and return to the Father that loves them so much..so much He sent His Son to die for you and to rise again that you will know His word is true and there is no greater love than the love God has for you..I feel so impressed today to say..Come back..come home..for your Father loves you and holds you in the palm of His hand..

I can tell you that anyone who tries to mix cursings with prayer is NOT making GOD happy. The only time I've ever heard anything like this was connected to the weirdo cult of the Westboro Baptist Church. They were the ones going around disturbing military funerals and cursing the families of service members who were killed in the line of duty. This was ugly and had nothing to do with GOD. In fact, I think these heartless people will answer to GOD for some of the awful things they've done while using the name of GOD.

Sister, we should pray for our enemies and people we don't like, but NEVER with cursings or anything mean. Prayer is for GOOD and should never be abused.

True..So many are like lambs to the slaughter due to not knowing who they are in christ.  When you know the word of God you know what is of God and what is not, including so many rituals in the church today.  People who claim the name of the Lord who think they ar called to speak such things over baby christians who do not know the Word and have not been discipled.  Instead baby christians are told they are under one curse or another the poor told they are under a curse of poverty instead of helping the person we look at the poverty not being the servant.  The person who told me she was told her family prayed she would lose everything to be humble made me so sad because there is no love of God in such a thing.  Christians want to prophesey over christians without getting a true Word from God..Can you imagine the countless people out of church due to this..We have to get back to the basics and that is soul winning and discipling.  To put the Lord Head of the church the desire to be obesient to the word not man.

I recently prayed a prayer for God to stop a certain man who is scamming people out of their money. I personally know this man, and although I prayed for God to do it His way I did make a few suggestions. The man is a pathological lair, deceiver, and con man using Christianity and the name of God to con people. He needs to be stopped before he hurts any more people.

Brothers and Sisters,

I can see this issue could easily involve numerous definitions and thoughts of the issue of this thread. As an example, asking GOD to help in the face of evil or to deal with evil is quite reasonable. So, I think we could actually be talking about numerous different subjects at the same time. I didn't think about all the various ways this subject could be interpreted when I wrote my post, and I should have. So, I apologize if I caused any confusion.
