"What a strange world we live in these days. On T.V. we hear people complain and decry the use of the name of Christ and the word "Christmas", yet we see people putting up Christmas lights and buying presents in November! Merchants get rich but dare not speak the word "Christmas". Much of our nation and the world loves the Christmas season but scorns and rejects the Christ! Christian are shunned, persecuted, even killed for speaking the name of Christ. Yet, God waits in patience, not willing that any should perish but rather be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth!"

Rarely do I hear the words "Merry Christmas" any more. Now all I hear is "season's greetings". What on earth does that mean? It means nothing to me. Most of the Salvation Army people who are out collecting money say "season's greetings". One actually said, "Merry Christmas", and I had to comment on that. I told her that it was the first time I had heard that phrase.

Christ is rejected, shunned, and deleted wherever possible. Most people are afraid of offending others with "Merry Christmas", but they don't mind offending Christians by leaving Christ out of Christmas. Christmas is no longer a time to celebrate the birth of the Son of God into the world. It is a time of Satan Claus, trees, presents, a big dinner. Everyone gets presents except the One whose birthday it is supposed to be. Of course, the world is not celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. They are just celebrating a holiday, swapping gifts, eating too much, drinking too much, and saying "season's greetings" or "happy holidays" to one another.

I know exactly what you mean.  Most of what I've heard here this year is Happy Holidays; to which I reply, Merry Christmas!

I received a Merry Christmas from many stores here recently with the casher initiating it. Wal Mart, Walgreens, Krogers and many others. I thought it may be because I am so well known on my view points by many of these people but I also heard it from a number of those that I don't know. It is possible that the ones I don't know still do know about me. Perhaps it's because I am in an area that is populated with very highly religious people. In any manner I am very encouraged by it.
