The last few days I was sad and depressed. Yesterday I told my Mom that I thought Christmas was gone, mostly because our family couldn't really get together anymore. I was then thinking about my birthday party and how there will be alot of different family there. Right there I decided to make it a Christmas party instead. I asked my Aunt and she she said we can do it. She's the one that planned birthday party. I am very happy now.  Grin

That sounds great, brother. How soon is the birthday party?

Good Morning Brother David and Everyone!

Brother David, I'll say HAPPY BIRTHDAY and MERRY CHRISTMAS right now. I was just thinking about a few things in my situation. My children and grandchildren live a long way away. Special times for us can really be any time, and that could be for all families. For a lot of families, getting off work and traveling is necessary to have time together. Traditionally, many work places recognize certain holidays to let their employees have a few days off, and this becomes our opportunity to get together and do special things. I was just thinking that the time of the year really doesn't make a difference. We could have special special worship times with our families every chance we have to get together is what I'm really thinking about.

As an example, THANKSGIVING and CHRISTMAS could be every day and any day. Most Christians give thanks for the Blessings of GOD every day, especially for HIS biggest GIFT to us - JESUS CHRIST our LORD and SAVIOUR. We should also give thanks that we live in a part of the world where we can worship together any time we want to. We can carry our Bibles with us without any fear, sing hymns, and get together in the Name of JESUS without any worries of the government beating, imprisoning, or killing us for worshiping GOD. The point is that it really doesn't matter what day the calendar says that day.

The most beautiful part of these thoughts involves the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD Living in our hearts and access to GOD'S Throne of Grace 24/7/365. This is one of the most precious things that changed at the CROSS. In reality, it really wouldn't matter if we don't know what day it is. We need to concentrate on the ultimate realities and give THANKS:

1 - We are purchased possessions of JESUS CHRIST. We belong to HIM every second and every minute of every day. HE has said that HE will never leave or forsake us, and HE always keeps HIS Promises.

2 - Our hearts are a temple for the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD. HE Lives in us and has Sealed our hearts, setting us apart as possessions of GOD. No power in the universe can break this HOLY SEAL.

3 - Every minute and hour already belongs to GOD. "This is another wonderful day that the LORD has made - let us be glad and rejoice in it." We have every reason to give thanks and rejoice every day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Love In Christ,
Tom

HIS NAME IS JESUS!

Luke 2:7-14  NASB  And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. "This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased."

My birthday and the party is on January 1.

Thank you and Amen Brother Tom. What I was saying basically is that, I didn't feel the joy I used to have.

What better way to start out the new year than to celebrate birthdays and to give thanks to God for all that he has done.

I join in with Brother Tom in saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY and MERRY CHRISTMAS right now.

Sister Def. I am talking about Grammluv's cartoon picture, not of her. I am just joking with her and I am sure that she knows it, just as she has been joking with me. I would never had said anything like that about a real picture of her. Grammy is a wonderful person and a treasured sister in Christ. I have nothing but respect for her.

Now as far as aging it is me that has gotten old before my time.
