Top Hamas leader
supports Hillary
Clinton would end 'unlimited military,
political support' for Israel, he says
Hamas believes Sen. Hillary Clinton, if elected president in 2008, will end President Bush's "unlimited military and diplomatic support for Israel" and adapt a more "evenhanded" approach toward the Palestinians, says the group's top political adviser.
Speaking yesterday with WND Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein, Ahmed Yousuf, the top adviser to the Hamas leader in Gaza and to the deposed prime minister of the Hamas-led Palestinian government, said in recorded comments the group heard from "many Americans" that if the Democrats take the White House next year they will implement "drastic changes" to U.S. foreign policy and relations with the Palestinians.
"I do believe Miss Clinton will have a more balanced policy when it comes to how to solve the Arab-Israeli conflict," Yousuf told Klein. "And I don't think she is going to give to the Israelis this unlimited military and diplomatic support that they are actually enjoying now; so … the future politics in the region will [see] a very drastic change when it comes to how to handle the Palestinian question."
(Story continues below)
Yousuf, speaking in English, said he hopes Clinton will "follow in the footsteps" of her husband's administration when it comes to dealing with the Palestinians.
"During the [Bill] Clinton administration, his political stand was much, much better than the Bush administration," he said. "We're hoping Miss Clinton also will follow the steps of her husband."
Yousuf said that for Clinton to enhance the U.S. image in the region she would need to "change the Bush doctrine on the 'war on terror' and to succeed in this you need to have an evenhanded policy (when) it comes to Palestine."
The top Hamas adviser said any future president would need to "come and make a big change, a drastic change to foreign policy which is a disaster to them (Americans) in Iraq and Afghanistan."
"We heard from many Americans there will be drastic changes in foreign policy," he said.
Yousuf told Klein he believes the Republicans will lose in 2008, since the party "lost all Arabs and Muslims, because America in Iraq is in bad shape and in Afghanistan also."
Hamas, responsible for scores of suicide bombings, shootings and rocket attacks, is classified by the State Department as a terrorist organization.
Terrorists endorse Hillary in '08
Yousuf is the latest in a chorus of leading members of Mideast terror groups to express support for a Clinton presidency.
In Klein's new book, "Schmoozing with Terrorists: From Hollywood to the Holy Land, Jihadists Reveal their Global Plans - to a Jew!," a slew of senior terror leaders state on the record they hope Clinton is victorious in 2008.
"I hope Hillary is elected in order to have the occasion to carry out all the promises she is giving regarding Iraq," stated Ala Senakreh, West Bank chief of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terrorist group.
Abu Hamed, leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades in the northern Gaza Strip, explained in "Schmoozing" Clinton's repeated calls for a withdrawal from Iraq "proves that important leaders are understanding the situation differently and are understanding the price and the consequences of the American policy in Iraq and in the world."
"The Iraqi resistance is succeeding," stated Hamed. "Hillary and the Democrats call for withdrawal. Her popularity shows that the resistance is winning and that the occupation is losing. We just hope that she will go until the end and change the American policy, which is based on oppressing poor and innocent people."
The Brigades, together with the Islamic Jihad terrorist group, took responsibility for every suicide bombing in Israel the past three years. The Brigades also has carried out hundreds of recent shootings and rocket attacks.
Abu Ayman, an Islamic Jihad leader in Jenin, said he is "emboldened" by Clinton's calls for an eventual withdrawal from Iraq.
"It is clear that it is the resistance operations of the mujahideen that has brought about these calls for withdrawal," boasted Abu Ayman.
Nasser Abu Aziz, the West Bank deputy commander of the Al Aqsa Brigades, declared it is "very good" there are "voices like Hillary and others who are now attacking the Iraq invasion."
In "Schmoozing," every terrorist leader out of dozens interviewed stated they hope a Democrat becomes president in 2008. Some terror leaders explained their endorsement of Clinton is not necessarily at the expense of other Democratic presidential candidates, whose policies are not as well known to them.
"All Americans must vote Democrat," stated Jihad Jaara, an exiled member of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group and the infamous leader of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity.
Some Palestinian terrorist leaders stated their support of Clinton, in part, stems from hopes she will apply some of her husband's foreign policies, particularly toward the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
"I hope also she will maintain her husband's policies regarding Palestine and even develop that policy," stated Brigades chief Senakreh.
"President Clinton wanted to give the Palestinians 98 percent of the West Bank territories," he said. "I hope Hillary will move a step forward and will give the Palestinians all their rights. She has the chance to save the American nation and the Americans life."
Ramadan Adassi, leader of the Al Aqsa Brigades in the Anskar refugee camp in the northern West Bank, said he, too, backs Hillary and hopes she will continue the "legacy of her husband" regarding support for a Palestinian state.
President Clinton was "pro-Israel, but [he] understood that the Palestinians must live in their independent state like the other nations of the world," stated Adassi.
The terror leader, however, commented he was "worried" that if Hillary "defied Israel" she would be "brought down like her husband," claiming White House intern Monica Lewinsky really was an Israeli Mossad implant sent to destroy President Clinton's career after he pressured the Jewish state to evacuate territory to the Palestinians.
"If Hillary goes too much against the Zionist interests, she will face the same conspiracy like her husband who fell into the trap of Lewinsky," Adassi said. "I have no doubt [Lewinsky] was planted by the Zionists, who wanted to send a message to all future American presidents – do not go against the Israeli policy. Bill Clinton made the Oslo agreement and promoted peace, but the Israelis did not give him a chance."
Abu Abdullah, a senior operational member of Hamas' so-called "military wing" stated he wants a Democrat in the White House but said once Democrats are in power "the question is whether such a courageous leadership can [withdraw]."

Unfortunately many Hillary supporters consider this a good thing. How can it be a good thing when it comes from a person that supports genocide of Jews, that supports the complete slavery or death of anyone that is non-islamic, that supports the use of suicide bombing to kill innocent men, women and most of all children.
Instead this should turn the lights on to the dangers of having someone like Hillary in office.

Spokeswoman calls Hamas 'terrorists'
'For individuals living under that rule, it is quite a serious situation'
The White House has contradicted Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice's recent descriptions of Hamas as a "resistance" group by labeling it a terrorist organization.
The confirmation came from White House spokeswoman Dana Perino, who had been asked about the coming Middle East summit conference in Annapolis, which officials hope will lead to development of plans for a Palestinian state in the Middle East.
"Given that the president has repeatedly said that it's vital that the Palestinians acknowledge Israel as a Jewish state, and Saeb Erekat yesterday … refused to acknowledge that very basic fact…" the question began.
"There has been a lot of increasing chatter as we've moved up towards the hopeful date of this meeting. Secretary Rice has been in the region several times, and Steve Hadley has been there, as well. We are working with the parties in order to bring them along to establish a feeling for a meeting that could actually result in a substantive core list of issues that can be worked on in order to get to a Palestinian state. We believe that we are nearly there. And because Secretary Rice is going to the region later this week so that she can help bring them along, let's just let that process play out, because I think that there is good intention on all sides," Perino said.
"But even – I mean, we know the issues that are on the list, we know what the final status issues are, but if there's this very basic refusal to acknowledge a country's right to exist as a Jewish state, how can the parties even talk?" the reporter continued.
"Well, I think that we should hear from President [Mahmoud] Abbas [of the Fatah organization] before making further judgments," Perino said.
Les Kinsolving, WND's correspondent at the White House, then raised the issue of the other organization, Hamas, which took over Gaza from Abbas' Fatah organization and now runs it.
"What about Hamas? Do you really think that Hamas is going to recognize the existence of Israel?" he asked.
"Obviously, Hamas is a terrorist organization and it's just…" Perino said.
"And they rule the – they rule the Gaza Strip, don't they?" Kinsolving asked.
"Well, it's unfortunate – for the way that the – for the individuals that are living under that rule and in Gaza, it is quite a serious situation. We are helping provide – to provide humanitarian relief, and we would like for that region to be able to return to a situation where they can try to…" she said.
"But Hamas is not going to recognize the existence of Israel?" Kinsolving asked.
"I'll let them speak for themselves, but I think they have a track record that would lead you to that conclusion," she said.
As WND has reported, Rice has said most Israelis support giving up the West Bank to create a Palestinian state alongside Israel.
That's despite results from a new poll released that contradicted her contention, finding the vast majority of Israelis oppose withdrawing from the West Bank, stating they fear the Palestinians will use the strategic territory to fire rockets into central Israel.
The West Bank borders Jerusalem and is within rocket range of Tel Aviv and Israel's international airport.
"I believe that most Israelis are ready to leave most of the – nearly all of the West Bank – just as they were ready to leave Gaza, for the sake of peace," said Rice addressing delegates in Nashville at the General Assembly of the United Jewish Communities, an annual meeting of top American Jewish leaders.
Her comments were followed by the release of a poll finding 61 percent of the general Israeli public opposes a withdrawal from most of the West Bank and handing the strategic territory to the Palestinians.
Kinsolving also asked: "The U.S. in some foreign quarters has been given an almost outcast status because of its war on terror. But France's Sarkozy and Germany's Merkel have both expressed favorable opinions of the U.S., and Britain's Gordon Brown is stressing the importance of ties with the U.S. What does this approval mean to the U.S.?"
"I'm going to have to take a pass. I'll get back to you later," Perino said.
The Associated Press reported that Brown has stressed the importance of ties with the United States. He became prime minister in June, replacing the pro-American Tony Blair.
In a recent speech, Brown said the world was a better place when the U.S. and Britain acted together.
"It is no secret that I am a lifelong admirer of America. I have no truck with anti-Americanism in Britain or elsewhere in Europe," Brown said. "I believe that our ties with America—founded on values we share—constitute our most important bilateral relationship."
Brown also noted in his speech the newly pro-American leanings from French President Nicholas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
