Hillary wants to change 'good and great' country

It's evident Hillary Clinton thinks highly of the United States -- but she wants to change it.

(It is evident? Another case of her contradicting herself. She doesn't like a nation of freedom but rather wants a nation of puppets that she can control.)

The Democratic presidential frontrunner delivered that message Thursday night as friends, family, and supporters celebrated her 60th birthday with a star-studded fundraiser in New York. "This is a good and great country," she said to applause. "Let's go out and change it and make history together. Thank you and God bless you!"

According to news reports, the New York senator took advantage of the opportunity to blast President Bush's stand on such issues as evolution and embryonic stem-cell research, promising if elected to "end President Bush's war on science."

Tickets to Senator Clinton's birthday bash cost anywhere from $100 to $2,000, according to Reuters. Special guests included former President Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea, actor Billy Crystal, and singer Elvis Costello, who during the festivities sang "Happy Birthday, Mrs. President."
