In the past, women have been known to be the mothers who took care of the children, cooked, cleaned, ect. And in the bible, that is just what Eve was created for so to say...Adam needed help. He couldn't do it on his own. But things are so different today. It is almost like it is a requirement that both parents work and everything else! So what really is our role today?Huh How do we do it all??? How do we as women do what is in God's will if mankind has made so that it truly is difficult to do in order to survive??? Huh

I think as the old song says, "Teach your children well" would apply.  This is really a good question, especially with so many single moms and as you say, homes where both parents are working.  That leaves child raising almost exclusively in the hands of babysitters, day care and the schools.  And we know what is being taught in the schools has nothing to do with God.  That makes it extremely important to know what your child is being taught  and counteract that with the real truth.
It is also hard with working and chores, cooking dinner, etc to find the time for the children.  But I think quality time spent with the kids is more important than cooking the "full meal deal" every night.  And with what little time there is, it's important to spend that time really focused on the kids and not just being in the same room with them.
Of course if you are married then you should be a support for your husband, but that works both ways (gentlemen).
Now I am an immaculate house keeper myself, but then my kids are grown and gone.  I say this to say that at the end of the day does it really matter that the laundry got done or that your family feels loved and nurtured?  So the dishes didn't get done, but you sat and read to your kids or played a game and laughed.  Read a bedtime bible story. etc.
Those are just a few thoughts that I had, and of course there are a whole lot of other categories.  A Godly woman in the work place, grocery store, with friends....
Bottom line I guess is love God with all your heart, soul and mind and the rest will fall into place.

thank you so much for your input. I am finding there aren't many women out there who have a whole lot to say about this. I am young, I am still learning. I just need a good teacher. I didn't come from such a great background. So I really wasn't taught what my role is in the family and society. I hear many different opinions but none rank so high as those in the bible. I wonder how they do it. I mean the ones that stay home and do everything the bible teaches. How do they do it??

Hello,God'sCreation24!  Good to meet ya!  I've been married for 27 yrs, been through 3 children, starting on grandchildren now!  I hope that gives me a little bit of say on this subject.
I've worked both outside and in the home, and over the years have come to this conclusion:  it is better to stay home with the children and be involved in their lives.  I'm not saying it is wrong to have a job.  I know that it takes two to make ends meet comfortably. And its a struggle to make ends meet.  But with the horrible way that our society is rapidly deteriorating, our children need not only protection, (one can only do so much, after all) but Godly guidance.  Take it from someone who fell into the me-me-me mindset and didnt give her children the protection and guidance so sorely needed and now regrets.  I cant go into it, (but when they return to God, Oh! the testimony they will have!)
If you do work, dont stress out over the house. Keep it enough to keep the health inspectors out, and enjoy your children.  They grow up fast enough as it is!
I used to read Proverbs 31 and get so discouraged!  How can one woman do all that?  Truth is she cant.  This is just a description of things to look for in a possible wife.  Kind of like honesty and industry in husbands.  (my aunt used to look for callouses on my boyfriends' hands!)
One of the greatest gifts we have been given of God is to be a mother.  It is our greatest mission field and ministry.  I am so sorry I did not recognize that sooner.
Yes, its hard, but keep things in perspective and God high on your priority list, and SMILE! Your gonna do fine!
