Democratic congressman goes on tirade

A Democratic congressman accused his Republican colleagues in the U.S. House of harming children in order to preserve funding for the Iraq war. Congressman Pete Stark (D-California) also charged American troops with killing innocent people and proceeded to attack President Bush's motives for the U.S. presence in Iraq.

Stark was angry with Republicans for supporting the president's veto of an expansion of the federally funded State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). Bush vetoed the expansion of SCHIP because it would have added adults and other groups outside the original intent of the program. But Stark claimed Republicans wanted to reserve the money Democrats wanted for SCHIP in order to pay for the Iraq war.

"You don't have money to fund the war or children. But you're going to spend it to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the President's amusement," said Stark.

House Republicans immediately demanded that Stark's remarks be "taken down" -- the equivalent of a judge striking a witness's comments from the court record. However the Democratic leadership of the House refused. Representative Roy Blunt (R-Missouri), the second-ranking House Republican, said Stark "ought to be ashamed" and that the California Democrat's comments "crossed all lines of decency and decorum."

The National Republican Congressional Committee called the incident "an outrageous and delusional tantrum." The group also demanded that Stark apologize to U.S. military members and their families.

Where is the House on declaring an addendum against this person for belittling the Troops? Oh, that's right, it only works on statements that conservatives really didn't make.

And some would think that Californians would be screaming about their representative.....but noooooo instead they cheer and vote to allow little boys to use the little girls room and vice versa....California the next sex offender state.

Gen 18:32  And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

2Co 6:15  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
2Co 6:16  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2Co 6:17  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2Co 6:18  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
