Do You See Everything?
Lord, what do you see,
When you look down?
Do you see when I’m angry
Do you see when I frown?
Do you see when I gossip,
Or hurt someone’s feelings?
Do you see me ignore,
They are fellow human beings?
Do you see when I wander,
And have no direction?
Do you see how I wiggle,
Under your correction?
Do you see when I cheat
Or skimp on a chore?
Do you see in my heart
When I feel it’s a bore?
Do you see my self-pride,
Pay attention when I’m boastful?
Do you hear what I say,
When I’m not being careful?
Do you see when I’m selfish
And really don’t care?
Do you see when I’m the first,
To cry out, “That’s not fair!”
Do you see when I pray,
And ask your forgiveness?
“Lord, change my heart
So I can do Your business!”
