The anointed ones of Israel,  I greet you all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  I am new here and you will forgive me if I make mistakes.  The question that I would like to ask is Is it possible to be a true Christian with self renouncement. The Word of God in the following scriptures is very clear on the matter but do we see it in the many christians today. Galatians2:20; Phillipians 1:2, Ephesians 4:1; Romans6:4,8,11; 1Corinthians 8:6

Hi again Stephanie,

Self renouncement is the turning away from a life of rebellion towards God and casting oneself wholly upon the mercy of God to save us. This is indeed a part of Salvation. Ii is coming to the knowledge that we are all sinners and need the saving grace of God. Without Him we are nothing and doomed to eternal torment.

Thank you for your reply.  Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ in His teachings indicated throughout the gospel the importance of renouncing self.  I am of the believe that unless one is ready to die to self then one can not be a christlike disciple. Paul says for Him to live is Christ to die is gain which is what I believe should be our attitude as well.  To die to self (to allow the flesh to die) and allow Jesus Christ to rise through the Holy Spirit. A lot of us are finding it difficult to be obedient because though we claim to be Christians, we are still living in the flesh and the flesh is the sphere of the devil.

Nope,
To repent means to change within yourself,
so without renouncing ones self there is no change.
No change, No Born Again, No Born Again, No Christian!
