Even though we are to be thankful every day and for everything, therefore everyday is Thanksgiving for Christians, I still think it is good to ask, what are you thankful for?
Now when I ask this I am asking for more unique and personal things. Yes we are all thankful for God's love, family and friends, food , shelter, clothes and freedom but I consider that the easy way out.

I am thankful for my computer. It is the only way I can communicate with family and friends. Also it is the only way I can interact with people. People give computer users a bad reputation. Some nurses say I am as bad as their sons. Well no I am not, they are taking themselves for granted. Computer is the only thing I can do besides watch garbage on TV.

Amen! Even though it is not yet Thanksgiving time in the U.S. as it is in Canada it is never too early to contemplate on those things that we should thank God for.

I can understand your thankfullness for your computer. It is a computer that allows me to reach out to so many others in the Lord's work so I would say that is one of the things that I am thankful for also.

Every day is thanksgiving for me as I thank my God for His undeserved goodness to me. I accepted His greatest Gift, His precious Son, more than 44 years ago, and I'm so thankful for Him in my life.

Amen Brothers and Sisters,

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE IN CANADA!

YES - I also feel that every day is THANKSGIVING! The LORD makes all DAYS, and we are now HIS Possessions. This is the biggest thing that I give THANKS for. ALL good things have been given to us by GOD. Our temporary things in this short life are just small things, but we should give THANKS for them (i.e. food, clothing, shelter). Our Eternal Inheritance as a Child of GOD is bigger than anything we can imagine. They are all things that can't be bought and are priceless. (i.e. love, peace, safety, contentment, no pain, no sorrow, and the list goes on and on).

If we think about things, we all have much to give thanks for even in this short life. For Christians, the biggest ones are always JESUS CHRIST, The CROSS, and resuce from the curse of sin and death. Regardless of our trials and troubles in this short life, we have GOD with us and GOD in us. Our wealth, hope and promises are not of this world, and this world is NOT our home. In short, we are just passing through this life for a short period of time, and our destination is at HOME in HEAVEN with JESUS CHRIST.

As Christians, if we were cold, hungry, and living on the streets, we would still have a HUGE list of things to give THANKS to GOD for.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Ephesians 2:8-10 NASB
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Hello Brother David,

I know this is Thanksgiving in Canada, so HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

It's really HAPPY THANKSGIVING and HAPPY SON-DAY for us every day.

It's true that many bad things can be done with computers, but it's also true that many good things can and are being done with the computer. Without them, you and I would probably have never met, and we wouldn't be able to converse with each other whenever we want to. We can share a portion of Scripture, a Testimony, a Devotion, or a Bible Study here and many thousands of people will read it. GOD will use it however HE wishes, and GOD has already Promised us that HIS WORD will never return void.

The vast majority of us are just plain people without very much money, so most of us can't afford to travel around the world to share the GOSPEL of the GRACE OF GOD. Further, many of us don't have the health for a trip like that. However, GOD has given us a way to share the GOOD NEWS with people all over the world. This is yet another thing on our huge list of things to give THANKS to GOD for.

On the other side of the coin, there are many people who are wealthy in the material things of this world, but they don't have JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOUR. Material things don't make people happy, and those material things are only used for a very short time. In fact, some of the richest people in this world are miserable. The poorest Christian has a great list of precious treasures that money can't buy, and they can't be stolen. They are free GIFTS that only GOD can Give.

As we THANK GOD for all of our Blessings, let's ALL pray that the lost will open their hearths and accept JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOUR. In fact, let us pray that THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD will soften their hearts for the Hearing of GOD'S WORD.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever!

Ephesians 3:14-19 NASB
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

And a very happy thanksgiving to y'all up in Canada.

Hello brother David, I'm thankful for my ministery. Before that happened though, I was thankful for my computer. Through Bible programs I have learned more for my task, the Lord has given me to do in His name.

Every day should be a day of giving thanks to God. Through the Lord, I live, without Him, I hate to think of where I'd be now.

As I was posting in Bible Study I realized another thing about the computer, without it, I wouldn't be able to read and understand God's words.
