      Have you ever wondered what Heaven will be like, afterall, we will be spending eternity there and that is forever?  I believe, being totally in God's presence will be awesome,to say the least.

Hello PapaCheerio,

YES, I have wondered about Heaven many times, and there are some beautiful portions of Scripture that give us a hint. I remember having a conversation like this recently with a strong and sweet Christian woman. We were talking about what we looked forward to most, and she said, "I want to see my Saviour's Face." Think just about that and know how awesome that would be. Now, know that there is more. I have a couple of favorite posts that will give you just a beginning hint about the beautiful Promises of GOD.

THE RAPTURE WILL BE A REALITY!

1 Thessalonians 4:13 NASB  But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.

Revelation 21:17 NASB  And he measured its wall, seventy-two yards, according to human measurements, which are also angelic measurements.

Revelation 21:18 NASB  The material of the wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.

Revelation 21:19 NASB  The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald;

Revelation 21:20 NASB  the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst.

Revelation 21:21 NASB  And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

Revelation 21:22 NASB  I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

Revelation 21:23 NASB  And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the Lamb.

Revelation 22:7 NASB  "And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."

Revelation 22:8 NASB  I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

The Bible does tell us what it will be like in Heaven. It will be so wonderful and magnificent that the human mind cannot fathom the extent of His greatness.

Rev 21:4  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5  And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

This is just one of the many that tells us what it will be like. Some of the others are posted above.

Some people say it will be sunny and bright and cheerful...others do not like the sun so it will dark and gloomy.....

I say it will be just like God made it, perfect.

With God there will be no need for a sun or moon for light because "the Lamb is the light thereof". ( Rev 21:23 )

Besides the real Heaven, Heaven to me is also this: wherever Jesus is... THAT is Heaven too! "leaning,  leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms ... safe and secure from all alarms!"
