In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:These verses settle this matter once, and for all, that is to say , it does to them that believe Gods Word;
Jacob was promised the land God had given to Abraham, for the nation of Israel (the natural seed), this made clear at ver 14 of Gen28, above;
Notice the verse carefully;
14 And
thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt
spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
The natural seed (nation) has always been reffered to as the
dust of the earth, as it pertains to Abrahams and/or Jacobs seed.
And note the next part of this verse, and see the extent of the land that is to be given to Jacob's seed,
they shall spread abroad to the east, west, north and south from where verse 13,
"the land whereon thou liestto thee will I give it, and to thy seed;"
The land that was promised to The Nation of Israel has never been occupied to its fullest extent, they will when Messiah returns.
God Bless,
