I'd like to be honest here and say that I have blocked out all politics & other forms of news. Why? Simply put. It doesn't matter the season or time we live. I want to be about God's work right up until the end. I don't want anything eles that will distract me from that.

That means telling as many people as I can about God's good grace. Influencing the people around me while not being influenced by the people around not of God.

That way I know when the Blessed day comes I will have left it all out on the table.

I understand your stance. Me, I like to stay abreast of news, especially of the type that might have something to do with Bible prophecy. I don't spend a large amount of my time doing that. I personally consider voting to be a duty, so I vote informed. Again, I don't spend a large amount of my time doing that. I even go fishing from time to time to relax. I'm retired and I do devote a large amount of my time every day to the Lord.

I agree. Even in politics, current news, fishing or whatever we are involved in there are many opportunities to work for and spread God's good news.

Joh 9:4  I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

Remember what Christ said about the fig tree?  How will we know when the tree is budding if we do not watch the news? Personally, I watch the news about Israel because I know that is one of the buds on the tree.  It is to me like a child looking for Christmas and counting down the days, I am looking at the news and watching for the coming of my Lord.

I personally think that the Rapture of the Church could happen at any time. I anxiously await His Glorious Appearance.
