Pre-Tribulation Luke Study

LUKE 21:28  "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

29: And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

30: When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

31: So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

32: Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

33: Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

34: And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

35: For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36: Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Verse 35 states that all them that dwell on the face of the whole world will be snared. Verse 36 that if your accounted worthy you can escape all these things that SHALL COME TO PASS (future tense is used) and that you can stand before the Son of Man. You will be Raptured and stand before the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, on the clouds if you are accounted worthy to ESCAPE what will take place to everybody left on planet earth. The judgments are global and effect every person on the face of the whole earth. If you're not accounted worthy, not removed from the earth to escape all that shall come upon the earth, you miss the Rapture and endure as a Tribulation Saint until martyrdom.  (My Note:  Many will be saved during the Tribulation Period, but they will face horrible persecution, and hosts of them will be beheaded for accepting JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOUR.

Luke is telling us of an escape before the judgments begin on the face of the whole earth that will fall on all who dwell on earth. The escape is the Rapture. Instead of staying on the face of the earth to suffer wrath, the Church will be Raptured and we will do what? Meet Jesus and stand before the Son of Man.

This is so simple it amazes me how many people just close their minds. I've used all the same phases as the original quote without altering the logical meaning. I feel my explanation is a logical examination of what these verses say.

There is a group of people called Christians, who are accounted worthy by the Blood of Christ, they are indwelled by the Holy Spirit, and they will escape the things which come and snare all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.

The church will escape from the earth and the coming judgments being Raptured and will STAND BEFORE THE SON OF MAN, JESUS!

This is what the verses are teaching. Its all there: what happens? an escape! by who? those accounted worthy (the Church) Escape From where? the earth! Escape from what? Judgments that SHALL COME! (future tense) Where are they escaping to? Raptured to Heaven to STAND BEFORE THE SON OF MAN, Jesus! You mean Raptured? Yes Raptured!

Remember the Rapture is a mystery. Can you get more obvious. How has this remained hidden from so many? Take the verses as they are, and the story is of the Rapture. Leaving the face of the whole earth and going to stand before the Son of Man, Jesus, BEFORE the things SHALL COME TO PASS! (future tense.)

If you can't see this its because you don't want to see it, not because its not there. Do you like your own view more than the view the Bible itself teaches?  Are you to stubborn to admit you could be wrong?

Tell me how I did at analyzing the text from Luke. Did I alter the meaning, or reveal the meaning? Am I logical?

That's about as simple as it gets. If you can't see it, you don't want to.

(My Note:  This is short, sweet, and to the point. Study the listed Scriptures and references for a more in-depth study. This is given in LOVE as something of UTMOST IMPORTANCE for you to understand and believe. Christians are NOT preparing for the Kingdom, nor are we preparing to receive the RIGHTEOUS WRATH OF GOD! Christians should be anxious and LOVE HIS Appearance, NOT dread HIS Appearance. JESUS CHRIST will catch us up to meet HIM in the sky and deliver us from the wrath that is to come. The time does grow short, but you are obviously welcome to believe whatever you wish. I will simply ask you to carefully read this brief, mark the portions of Scripture, and Study about one of the most important events in the life of a Christian.

I won't argue or debate this with anyone. Detailed arguments and debates are already on the forum for you to read and study all you wish. So, this is take it or leave it - your choice, and you'll have to choose anyway.

Sister Def,

I think that the MOST important thing for a Christian is to "Love HIS Appearance" and be anxiously awaiting it.

For whatever reasons, this has become a hot topic these days, and some people calling themselves Christians don't believe in the Rapture at all. This is part of our JOY as Christians, and that's one of the main reasons why I posted it.

What do we
look forward to
in CHRIST?

RAPTURE

KEEP LOOKING UP!

THE RAPTURE WILL BE A REALITY!

1 Thessalonians 4:13 NASB  But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 NASB  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 4:15 NASB  For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 NASB  For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 NASB  Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:18 NASB  Therefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Corinthians 15:50 NASB  Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

1 Corinthians 15:51 NASB  Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,

1 Corinthians 15:52 NASB  in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

1 Corinthians 15:53 NASB  For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1 Corinthians 15:54 NASB  But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.

1 Corinthians 15:55 NASB  "O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O  DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?"

1 Corinthians 15:56 NASB  The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law;

1 Corinthians 15:57 NASB  but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:58 NASB  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.

Brothers and Sisters,

I wanted to share a few thoughts I'm having right now. I've been blessed by being around and with strong Christians most of my life, and my parents were Godly parents who tried very hard to raise us in the things of the LORD. For these things and others, I give thanks to GOD every day.

A favorite phrase in our extended family is "KEEP LOOKING UP!" I remember hearing that often when I was too young to understand what it meant. I understand completely what it means now, and it's something else to give thanks for. As Christians, where and what is our REAL HOPE? Is there something more than just this short life and a daily struggle? Do we have a power far beyond human in the core of our being?

YES - we have the Holy Spirit of GOD living in our hearts. The Greatest Power in the Universe and our CREATOR does live in our hearts if we have accepted JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOUR.

Our HOPE is NOT in this world or of this world. Our HOPE is ALIVE, and HIS NAME is JESUS CHRIST.

This short life is like a blink of the eye compared to our Eternity with JESUS. The daily struggle here as a Christian will be as nothing compared to the JOY of Eternity with JESUS. GOD didn't promise us that things would be easy in this short life - just the opposite. BUT, this short life in this world is NOT part of the HOPE that we anxiously await.

Our HOPE as Christians IS the Promises of GOD to us. This world isn't our home. We have to be in this world for a short time, but our HOME is in HEAVEN. Our HOPE is sure and positive because it's a PROMISE from GOD, and GOD never breaks HIS PROMISES.

So, why should we KEEP LOOKING UP!

JESUS CHRIST is going to come and catch HIS CHURCH up to meet HIM in the air. JESUS CHRIST is our LIVING HOPE and HE is absolute REALITY!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable GIFT, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour Forever!

Another

I have never doubted the rapture of the saints because the Bible clearly states it.  It does not mention the word "rapture," however, it is clear to me that Jesus will return, the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we who remain will meet them in the clouds.  Just the thought of it is awesome!  I just can't imagine anything more wonderful.  Look up!
