Sen. Inhofe: Democratic Party 'virtually owned' by radical environmentalists

Environmental extremists are the new top dogs in the Democratic Party, according to an outspoken global warming skeptic and member of the U.S. Senate. The remarks were made at a gathering held at a conservative college.

Senator Jim Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) says ten years ago, trial lawyers constituted the strongest force in the liberal movement. But Inhofe says ever since 2001, what he calls "far-left environmentalists" have put more money into Democratic political campaigns than any other group.

While addressing the annual meeting of the Young America's Foundation being held at George Washington University, Inhofe declared that far-left environmentalists -- whose goals, he says, are fear and indoctrination -- "virtually own the Democratic Party" and are number one on the FBI's domestic terrorist list.

Inhofe says that at a recent hearing on domestic terrorism the president of SHACK, a far-left environmentalist group, went on record as saying that the lives of animals and human beings are a moral equivalent. According to Inhofe, the president of SHACK was a medical doctor who was recruiting children to identify and kill people who were experimenting with animals.

The Oklahoma senator is also taking his Republican counterparts to task over the theory of global warming. Inhofe publicly challenges the science behind the theory that man-made gases are causing problem -- but most Republicans, he claims, are unwilling to challenge the theory because they are "lacking courage".

"There is this fear of coming out and being visible and questioning whether or not this science is correct," the lawmaker acknowledges. "That is a huge fear because the polling shows that the vast majority of people believe that that's settled. [But] that isn't true today; this is changing. It's rapidly changing right now," he claims.

Inhofe argues it is far-left environmental extremists and Hollywood elitists who are "the ones creating the real problem."

Unfortunately, the radical environmentalists are not the only ones who 'own' the Democratic Party.  There is quite a long list, including LaRaza, big business, Chamber of Commerce, ACLU, Mexican government....just to name a few.  It's sickening.

That's precisely why I am no longer a Democrat.
