Righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:14.  Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
 15.  But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
 16.  And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
 17.  For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
 18.  Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
 19.  For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
 20.  Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

I have always been under the impression tht grace is defined as "unmerited favour" until I looked it up in STRONG'S EXHAUSTIVE where it reads, "The divine influence on the human heart and its reflection in the life."

In either case, salvation, righteousness, and every good gift originates from above. No human ever came up with the concepts of grace and faith.

The first time the word GRACE is used in scripture is at Gen 6:8, and, in its context we see, Gods free and undserved love that never quits.

When a person is able to grasp the significance of this , that is what motivates a person to consider Gods truths.

But how can anyone consider anything about God, unless God works to draw that person to His truth.

The scriptures are clear to state, it is a work of God, to believe and focus on the object of what will become FAITH, in the end, and it is all given and comes from Him, by GRACE

This certainly is divine influence.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.  Isa 55:11
