Question on font size

Ok guys, this has been driving me nuts for a long time. I have tried numerous times to use the 'font size' icon that is provided up above here to no avail  it never changes. I see in some of your post that have larger fonts... is it not working? What am I doing wrong?

When using the font size button it will come up with this reading inside of it: size=10pt.

This is the default size so it doesn't change the size. You must change the number to whatever size that you want. i.e.   size=14pt, size=16pt or size=20pt ......
