Several things in this passage of scripture that the Bible points out to us! First of all that we are saved bye the Grace of God without any of our works of the flesh, It is from Him and bye Him and unto Him! We are only a recipient of it! We are saved we are saved by faith without any works.

Any Amens?

True,we are NOT saved by anything we do,but after
we are saved,we are supposed to at least try to do
that it says to do in the Torah(5 books of Moses),&
in the whole Tanach(OT). For in James 2:14 it says.
 14. My Brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he
has belief but does not have works ? This belief is
unable to save him.
In Rom. 6:1-2 it also says
 1. What, then, shall we say ? Shall we continue in sin
that favor may increase ?
2.Let it not be !How shall we who died to sin still live
in it.
After we are saved we are to do what it says in the
Torah. The basis of the NT is the OT,and the foundation
of that is the Torah before someone says it is dead.
There are MANY still that we are to know from the
OT.MANY untold truths STILL yet in there, waiting
to be discovered, but you will never see them,if you
think the OT is dead,or is of no use anymore.

aw: The BIG DIFFERENCE between the Old and the New is that we have the indwelling Spirit of God that empowers us as the righteousness of the law is fulfilled IN but not BY us. We are to "WALK in the Spirit and then we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh."
