I am having a very hard time coping with my husband leaving me.  He says he loves me but is not in love with me anymore.  We have been together for 20 years and I am so heartbroken.  I used to have more faith than anyone I know, but this time I cannot seem to find it.  I am numb and can't seem to hold it together.  It is effecting my job and my family life.  Please keep me in your prayers.  Thank you

Hello Tsgirl,

Welcome!

First, I want to welcome you to Christians Unite and tell you that many sweet Christians here will pray for you.

Please let this be a time of becoming stronger in CHRIST, praying, waiting on the LORD, and knowing that HE is with you always. There are many things to try, but make GOD number one. As examples:  1) counseling with your Pastor, 2) marriage counseling. Ask your husband to also pray about this and to pray with you.

In the meantime, many others will be praying for you.

Love In Christ,
Tom

1 Thessalonians 5:8-10 NASB  But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.

Hi tsgirl, and welcome to Christians Unite!

As a survivor of divorce, I can empathize with your current feelings.  Please know that God is with you, and with His help, you too will survive.

Rejection is difficult, especially when it involves someone you love and have shared your life with.  The pain is intense, and I know it feels as though your world is crumbling.  Please believe me, it is not a cliche'.... time WILL heal this wound.

Continue to praise God for all that He has done for you, and ask Him to strengthen your faith.  My prayers are with you.

Lord God, we know You are with tsgirl.  We pray she will sense your peace and comfort as she goes through this.  We pray her husband will come to his senses....to realize that "in love" is just a feeling....but to "love" someone is true love.  In Christ's name, amen.

Having been there I know of the heartache you are going through. The pain of loss can be overwhelming, and your days blend together as you walk around in a fog of disbelief and wanting this all to be a bad dream. If your ability to handle this does not improve I would suggest that you talk to a counselor for mental health. While talking to friends seems to help, talking to someone who has no stake in your day -to - day life can help you see things more objectively and help you plan a course of action for your life. Another idea is to write your thoughts and feelings down in a journal. This releases these negative thoughts from your mind by transferring them to paper. I know that it sounds far-fetched but it really does help. Talk to your pastor and take time to pray for strength and healing.
I will pray for God to be with you and your husband, and that He be with you no matter the outcome of the relationship. May His gentle mercy and grace be with you, now and always. Know that we at this Christian forum will keep you in our thoughts and prayers, and will share good fellowship with you  as long as you need us.

Like Mariane says, I wish I could just give you a hug. It is so devistating and heart breaking. I will pray for you. Even though you feel far from God, he will carry and get you through. You may feel like he doesn't hear your prayers but he does and will make you stronger through it. You are just at the hardest part right now.....so sorry, God Bless.

So sorry to hear about this.  I have been through it twice myself.  I can only say that God got me through both situations.  He taught me how to cope through His love for me.  It is hard to accept it happening when you are not the one asking for it. But the good news is that God knows you didn't ask for it also.  He guides you through the rough days and nights.  I found it very comforting reading Psalms and listening to Praise music.  HE is there with you every step of the way.  Please do not let this discourage you in your walk with the LORD.  I will pray for you.

Ts-girl I am sorry to hear of the trials that you are facing, but it seems to me that he is the one having problems
coping.  I shall pray for you and your husband, but stand tall in the Lord.  Remember all things work to glorify God
so rise up and praise God.  The apostle Paul said [The light affliction that we face here on the earth dont compare
to the glory that shall be revealed when we are in the presence of our Lord and Savior].  Keep the faith and hold
tight to the Lord, and he shall shine his light upon you, and reveal his love and glory to your husband.  Stand strong!
