I highly recommend this movie (the one made around 1995 by the British....BBC). It is based on the classic book by Jane Austen, a good story, beautifully photographed in England, good acting. It's about an "old maid" whose love interest reappears after 8 years. Other younger women are now interested in marrying this naval captain and have his attention. What will happen to the "old maid" that her family considers her as?

Besides being a beautiful movie, this movie is rated PG and is good for the whole family. It was voted Best Picture of the Year.
