Larijani, Solana deputies to meet Monday: Hosseini

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said here Sunday deputies of Iran's top nuclear negotiator and the EU foreign policy chief intend to hold a meeting on Monday.
Hosseini made the remark at his weekly press conference while pointing to a meeting scheduled to be held between deputy of secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) for international affairs Javad Vaeedi and the EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana's deputy. He did not disclose the location of the meeting.
Asked about Larijani-Solana talks, he said, "The issue of holding talks between the two sides, itself, is positive but the exact date of the talks has not been decided."
In response to a question on possibility of enrichment suspension, the spokesman added, "As we have repeatedly announced, Iran will not accept suspension neither as a precondition nor as outcome of talks." On a possibility of Iran's reduction of peaceful nuclear activities, he said, "Nuclear activities are running their due course."
Asked about the possibility of continuation of the Iran-US talks on Iraq, Hosseini said, "Outcomes of the first round of talks are currently under study.
"Iran will announce its decision afterwards."
He rejected a news report claiming the next round of Iran-US talks would be held in less than one month, saying, "This report is not authentic."
