Voter Fraud and Felonies Brought by Lawless Illegal Immigrants

Biblical Family Advocates recently posted a press release, regarding the illegal immigration movement that feels entitled to come to America illegally without regard for the laws of America, creating a culture of lawlessness which teaches their children to disobey God's commandments.

More evidence of this lawless culture are seen in an article, "EXCLUSIVE: Hundreds of Illegal's Have Registered to Vote in Bexar County", which reveals widespread voter fraud in the hundreds, committed by illegal aliens. One only has to wonder how prevalent this practice is in other major cities around America, especially in the light of a coming Presidential election.

"It is simply amazing that proponents of illegal immigration are building their future on deceit, fraud and disobeying the laws of the land based on their sense of entitlement, which is another form of covetousness which God calls sin and idolatry. Evidence of their lawless culture are seen in statistics which show that 1 in 5 people, in our prison system are illegal immigrants and some estimates describe up to half of California's prison population as illegal immigrants, putting enormous economic pressure on the prison system at taxpayer expense." Says Phil Magnan, Director of Biblical Family Advocates

"To make matters worse there are many well meaning churches and pastors who are giving sanctuary to illegal aliens when they should be calling them to repentance. Many Pastors have adopted a view that being kind to strangers entitles the stranger to disobey the authorities and steal the hard earned livings of American citizens. These kinds of church polices are hardly loving your neighbor as yourself. I implore those who pity the alien and the stranger to demand that the Mexican government cease from its own corruption and oppression in the name of Jesus Christ, instead of aiding a culture of anarchy in our own country."

EXCLUSIVE: Hundreds of Illegals Have Registered to Vote in Bexar County

Officials are confident new procedures will purge them from the rolls

Hundreds of illegal immigrants have registered to vote in Bexar County in recent years and dozens of them have actually cast ballots, canceling out the votes of U.S. citizens, 1200 WOAI news will report Thursday morning.

Figures obtained by 1200 WOAI news shows 303 illegals successfully registered to vote, and at least 41 cast ballots in various elections.

Bexar County Elections Administrator Jackie Callanan confirmed the figures, but she says a new form of voter registration card, which requires people to swear they are citizens when they register, should help cut the problem, because people who vote illegally can be charged with perjury.

And the county has some sly ways to catch them.

"Maybe they have received a jury summons, the jury wheel relies on registered voters. They send a statement to the jury room that says they are not U.S. citizens and then we get that report immediately," Callanan says.

It's a hot issue in the Texas Legislature, where republicans are pushing a bill that would require voters to show some form of identification before voting.

"Considering that a photo ID is required to buy Sudafed, I can't understand why anyone would argue that the same standard, if not a higher standard, should apply to voting," Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst said. "Why would any Texan oppose legislation that ensures only U.S. citizens vote in elections?"

While not taking a position on the legislation, Callanan warned that any law that required that people present ID at the polling place might actually discourage people from voting.

"It will be cumbersome to have them presented at the polls," she said. "The lines will be longer. It will require an additional check."

Some Democrats in the Legislature have fought the proposal, saying it would keep the poor and minorities, who generally vote Democratic, away from the polls. A key Democratic Senator and Dewhurst got into an argument on the floor of the Senate over the emotional issue.

Callanan says if an ID law is approved, she hopes a process is in place to allow the Secretary of State, not the individual poll judges at the polling places, to inspect the identification and certify that a voter is fit to vote.

Dewhurst says the legislation has been rewritten to make it as easy as possible for a person to prove their legal citizenship.

"Voters can now present military ID, valid employee ID, citizenship certificate, passport, student ID card, handgun permit, utility bill, bank statement, pay stub, mail from a government entity, marriage license, birth certificate, adoption certificate, pilot's license, hunting license, or even a library card," Dewhurst said. "What's so hard about this?"

Justice Dept. Figures on Incarcerated Illegals

One of the more popular claims by illegal immigration proponents is that those who enter the U.S. by breaking the law are invariably "hard-working" and "law-abiding" once they get here.

That argument, however, has one major flaw. According to Justice Department statistics and the analysis of immigration experts, the "law-abiding" claim often isn't true.

As Investors Business Daily reported in March 2005:

"The U.S. Justice Department estimated that 270,000 illegal immigrants served jail time nationally in 2003. Of those, 108,000 were in California. Some estimates show illegals now make up half of California's prison population, creating a massive criminal subculture that strains state budgets and creates a nightmare for local police forces."

Citing an Urban Institute study, director of research for the Center for Immigration Studies Steven Camorata noted in 2004: "Roughly 17 percent of the prison population at the federal level are illegal aliens. That's a huge number since illegal aliens only account for about 3 percent of the total population."

Former California Gov. Pete Wilson places the percentage of illegal aliens in U.S. prisons even higher. In 2001, he told Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly:

"We had problems related to the costs of educating children who were acknowledged to be in the country illegally, healthcare costs. One in five in our prison population were illegal immigrants who had been convicted of a felony after entering the country illegally."

The Federation for American Immigration Reform also turned to the Justice Department to get statistics on criminal aliens. They report:

"In March 2000, Congress made public Department of Justice statistics showing that, over the previous five years, the INS had released over 35,000 criminal aliens instead of deporting them. Over 11,000 of those released went on to commit serious crimes, over 1,800 of which were violent ones [including 98 homicides, 142 sexual assaults, and 44 kidnappings].

"In 2001, thanks to a decision by the Supreme Court, the INS was forced to release into our society over 3,000 criminal aliens [who collectively had been convicted of 125 homicides, 387 sex offenses, and 772 assault charges]."

Up to a third of the U.S. federal prison population is composed of non-citizens, according to Federal Bureau of Prisons statistics - but not all non-citizen prison inmates are illegal aliens.

As to the "hard-working" claim, CIS notes: "The proportion of immigrant-headed households using at least one major welfare program is 24.5 percent compared to 16.3 percent for native households."

Investor's Business Daily concurs: "Once [illegals] get here, they are 50 percent more likely to be on welfare than citizens."

I'm not the least bit surprised.  There appears to be a total disregard for our laws, beginning with the illegal entry into this country.  If rewarded with amnesty, what message does that send?  If our immigration laws can be so brazenly ignored, with impunity, why should we expect any other laws to be upheld...drunk driving, unlicensed driving, identity theft, document fraud, welfare fraud, murder, rape.  The sky's the limit.
