Sad I have been a struggling 'Christian' for quite some disgusting time.I always find myself fallen after a little hopeful steps. I am always outweighed by outward influence of friends, being an introvert, and now afraid I may not be able to summon enough courage to overcome. Could somebody out there please help me before total despair sets in? If GOD is leading you to be a Pilgrim Guide through this wilderness in Guidance and Counselling   it will be appreciated.

Hi funtainventures,

Welcome to Christians Unite. There are many wonderful Christians here that will be happy to encourage you and assist all they can in your walk with Jesus.

Peer pressure is one of the hardest things that a young Christian has to face and to overcome. With Christ in our lives though it is completely possible. Attending a good Bible believing, preaching church and getting a good Bible study and prayer life is very important. It will help you tremendously in your walk.

I look forward to having some wonderful Christian fellowship with you.

Hello Funtaineventures,

WELCOME!

I'm sorry to hear that you are going through a difficult time in your life. After reading your post carefully, I do have a suggestion. People and friends fail pretty frequently, but GOD never fails. If people around you are dragging you down, put more of your time and energy into a relationship with JESUS CHRIST.

I would be talking about studying GOD'S WORD and prayer. It sounds like you might be depending too much on people instead of depending on GOD. We have a large number of sweet Christians who meet here, and one of our priorities is to encourage each other and strengthen each other in CHRIST. WHY? - CHRIST never fails, but people do.

SO, the first and best suggestion for a struggling Christian is to get quiet before GOD and pray. Shut the world and everything else out on a regular basis, and spend time in prayer and Bible study. I think that you will be amazed to see what starts to happen in a fairly short period of time. This quiet time with the LORD will become addicting, and you will enjoy it so much that it becomes a part of every day. People can't show you the way, BUT GOD CAN! Other Christians can certainly help you with some ideas, but the ultimate help is always GOD.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Hebrews 10:23-25 NASB  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Welcome to Christians Unite, funtainventures!   Don't be too hard on yourself.  We have all fallen at times, but Jesus is faithful to pick us up, and dust us off.  Don't listen to Satan's lies.  He would have you believe that you are lost, and that your sins are too great to be forgiven.  Lies, all lies!  Jesus loves you, and He will never forsake you.  Follow the good advice given by Pastor Roger and brother Tom.  We are all here to help each other in our Christian walk.

I hope you enjoy the fellowship here.  It's a great place to be.  Remember, the devil has already been defeated.  Stay in prayer, and keep praising the Lord.  He won't let you down.  May God strengthen you, and send a special blessing.  I'm glad you have joined us.

Matt 28:18  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Matt 28:19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Matt 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Hello funtainventures,

You are most welcome. This should be the nature of Christian fellowship and one of the reasons why we gather together. We all have times when we need prayer, strength, and encouragement. We won't get that from the world. A large group of us prays for each other every day, and we would love to have you join us permanently. After all, we will be spending eternity together with JESUS.

Love In Christ,
Tom

John 17:11 NASB  "I am no longer in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, that they may be one even as We are.
