One Nation Under God

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord..." Psalms 33:12

May 3rd is the National Day of Prayer. While it is important that we are in prayer daily this is a day that is set aside by an act of Congress which encourages Americans to pray for our nation, its people and its leaders.

Let us unashamedly take our Light from underneath the basket and set it for all to see. Join in with others to pray for the return of a moral rebirth in today's society. With a Congress that is currently doing everything it can to pass immoral legislation it is more important than ever that we participate in this prayer.

Not only is May 3rd the National Day of Prayer but it is also the day that Congress is voting on a law that will undermine and override the recent Supreme Court decision against partial birth abortion. If this law is passed then the courts cannot rule on any abortion matters nor will the majority of the people count in making any protests against abortion.

Also scheduled is the passing of the Hate Crimes legislation. This is the law that is called the thought control law and is designed to set the actions in motion to prevent Christians from spreading the truth about sin and the glorious word of the Gospel.

If ever a time existed that our nation and its leader are in need of prayer, it is now.

2Chr 7:14  If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
