Gulf on Alert In Advance Of Iran-U.S. Confrontation; Bahrain Requests IAEA Membership

In recent days, the Gulf states are convening in various forums to discuss ways of dealing with the dangers in the Gulf, in light of the tension in the region and the possibility of a military confrontation between Iran and the U.S.

Bahrain's foreign minister said that his ministry was preparing for any possible threat, taking the necessary defensive measures, and raising the alert level. Action plans for any occurrence have been prepared, as have plans for handling the situation following an occurrence.

Bahrain has also submitted a request for membership in the International Atomic Energy Agency, which would enable it to obtain information and early warning in the event of a nuclear risk.
