Al-Arabiya TV Director: Real War Preparations In Gulf – Why Is Iran Being Adventurous?

In his column in the London daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, Abd Al-Rahman Al-Rashed, director-general of Al-Arabiya TV and the paper's former editor, stated that real preparations for war are underway in the Gulf, and that this is no mere propaganda. He asked, "Do the Iranians really cannot understand what is happening in their sea?"

He said, "All political analyses indicate that Washington can wage another large-scale war in the region despite its entanglement in Iraq... and the question is why the Iranian leadership is being adventurous, bringing itself to the stage of a clash, if it knows that when the time comes it will lose a great deal."
