According Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov there is no reason for Russian-U.S. cooperation in strategic anti-missile defense, Interfax news agency reported.
As for possible cooperation in strategic anti-missile defense, honestly speaking, I see no reasons for that, Ivanov told reporters in Yekaterinburg.
We believe this strategic anti-missile defense system is somewhat chimerical, to put it mildly, he said.
One can find a much cheaper response to any such system, Ivanov added.
