Iran foreign policy focuses on developing ties with different countries

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that Iranian foreign policy focused on developing transparent and strong relations with different countries.
In a ceremony to receive credentials of new Ukrainian Ambassador to Iran Igor Loginov, Ahmadinejad called for practical steps to be taken to implement the agreements already reached between Iran and Ukraine.
The president said that Ukraine is a large country with a civilized nation and that Iran is interested in progress, independence and glory of the Ukrainian nation.
He hoped that the Ukrainian government will overcome its difficulties and move forward to progress and development.
Loginov said that the Kiev government attached high significance to relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He said that Iran is an important trade partner for Ukraine.
"Ukraine is willing to enhance level of trade to dlrs one billion in light of extensive capacity for economic cooperation," he said.
