Hello Def,
Sister, I've already started praying for you every day and will from now on. There are many of us on Christians Unite who pray for other brothers and sisters in Christ every day. Prayer is a wonderful gift that GOD has given us, and HE loves to hear our prayers. Many of us have serious illness, disability, and other major life issues to deal with, but GOD is with us. We also have each other, and we will spend eternity together in CHRIST, so prayer for each other should simply be part of our joy.
Sister, I loved the way you put your prayer request when you said, "Pray a prayer of thanksgiving." All of our prayers should be ones of thanksgiving. GOD is good to us, and we all have much to give thanks for.
I know that many lost people don't understand when they hear Christians giving thanks to GOD when they are ill or going through some other problem.
They just don't understand that all of a Christian's problems are just temporary, and this world is not our home. Our real HOPE and PROMISES aren't in this world or of this world. Our wealth, health, and happiness is not measured in the ways of the world, rather by being in CHRIST!
Sister, thanks for the nice reminder that all of our prayers should be in thanksgiving. I hope that all Christians understand and appreciate this reminder. Love In Christ,
Tom
Philippians 1:21-22 NASB For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose.
John 4:36-38 NASB "Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for life eternal; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. "For in this case the saying is true, 'One sows and another reaps.' "I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored and you have entered into their labor."
John 10:11 NASB "I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
