Creation In The New Testament

Did you know that Creation is not taught just in Genesis? It is taught throughout the New Testament also. It was referenced by Jesus. (Mar 10:6) It was used in evangelizing by Paul. (Acts 17)

In Acts 17 Paul went to Mars Hill in Athens to preach to the Greek philosophers. When Paul spoke about the Cross and the Resurrection. The Greek philosophers responded by rejecting this teaching as foolish. The Greeks had a sign that Paul referenced that was on an altar he had passed on the way there. It said "TO THE UNKNOWN GOD". This is the same thing done today by theistic evolutionists and by the "intelligent design" groups. They are worshiping an unknown god. Many centuries before Darwin the Greek culture was permeated with a form of evolutionary ideas. They had no concept of Creator God, and had no basis in their culture to understand that they were sinners under the Curse of Genesis 3.

To reach this evolution-based culture, Paul carefully explained the message of Creation. (Acts 17 : 24- 29) He challenged their wrong ideas. He then presented the message of the Cross. (Acts 17 : 30 - 24)

Christians need to wake up and understand that our Western society has become like the Greeks: indoctrinated in evolution and strange gods, and with little understanding of sin. They'll not fully understand the Gospel until they learn about the foundational Biblical truths of the Creation and the Fall. It is for this reason that we as Christians must also understand the Creation and Fall, to teach it according to the Bible without evolutionary ties.

I agree that Christians should know about creation. We must understand it to understand the power of God.  I have seen many that think they understand, but have it all wrong. I have seen several supposed Christians argue that God created man twice. Once in Gen.1 and then again in Gen. 2. They seem to believe this accounts for the wife for Cane and the people he went to. What do you think is meant by the Sons of God marrying the daughters of men?

As in all cases when there is a question about the meaning of scripture we must use scripture to determine it's exact meaning. If we look back to the ending Gen 5 we that there is a great effort to determine and record the lineage of Seth. Gen 6 is a continuation from that. We see following this line of thought it is speaking of the lineage of Seth marrying the daughters of the lineage of Cain. Note also in other places of scripture where the term "sons of God" is used it refers to those that follow after Him, including angels, whereas this term is never used anywhere else in scriptures in regards to those that have rejected God.

Also if we look to the Hebrew version of Genesis 6 we can see a more true meaning of the word "giants": a bully or tyrant. Then in verse 4 the use of "mighty men" in the Hebrew version means warriors, tyrants.

This in no way indicates fallen angels or their offspring.
