Principal bans parents from pro-'gay' seminar 
Public district students offered guidance on being homosexual

Administrators at North Newton High School in Newton, Mass., have held a seminar for students that explained how to know they are homosexual, but banned parents from attending.

"It's absolutely insane," parent Brian Camenker, who also is chief of the Mass Resistance organization, said. "I met with the principal. She told me no parents are allowed. She said only by invitation. I asked, 'Can I be invited.' She said, 'No.'"

The event, called "ToBeGlad Day," was the school's "Transgender Bisexual Gay Lesbian Awareness Day," and students were given a pamphlet that explains what it means to be "gay," tells students how they are supposed to know if they are "gay," and responds to the question, "Will I ever have sex?"

News of the event comes just a day after WND reported on a case at Deerfield High School in Deerfield, Ill., where school officials ordered their 14-year-old freshman class into a "gay" indoctrination seminar, after having them sign a confidentiality agreement promising not to tell their parents.

"This is very, very scary stuff," Camenker said. "The pamphlet also lists places kids can go to meet homosexuals. How would something like this affect a kid who might be going through a confused and vulnerable time in his life? Well … the school isn't interested in what YOU think."

The Newton principal, Jennifer Price, didn't return a message WND left seeking a comment on the event.

But Camenker said it supports his argument for the state's Parents Rights Bill, S2063, which would toughen the state's parental notification requirements, an issue he's urging state lawmakers to act on as soon as possible.

He said the information about the brochure, a copy of which is available at the Mass Resistance Website, already has been e-mailed to each member of the Massachusetts Legislature.

"We've gotten a reaction from representatives who have gotten calls," he said. "At least one is angry at us for the vehemence of the call [the representative got from a constituent]. I explained I didn't tell people to be rude."

"But if this is going on in public schools, you can't be surprised [if people are upset]," he said.

"It's absolutely insane."

He said some of the topics of the seminar, as reported by the student newspaper, included: "It's natural to be gay," "Nature vs. Nurture," and "Fabulous Gay History."

That report from the student publication, he said, was the only way for parents to get information about what is going on, since they were banned on orders of the principal from attending.

"The first step in coming out is to tell yourself that you are gay and say, 'That's OK,'" the brochure tells students. "Later you may want to tell someone else – someone you trust to be understanding and sympathetic…"

Certainly not one of those homophobic religious people, however. "I had to reject a lot of negative heterosexual and religious programming that made me feel lousy about myself as a gay person," said a testimony from "Bill, age 18."

The school also promised help there. "Many faculty members have joined Bridges, a faculty/student group devoted to eliminating homophobia and making our school a more accepting place," it said.

"No matter what people say, you are normal," said a testimony from "Nathan, age 19." "God created you, and you were made in this image. If you are non-religious, you were born and you have a purpose, and being gay is only part of it."

The school's information also included some very practical advice. "Do not shoot up drugs… Avoid anal intercourse… Use condoms whenever you engage in anal or oral sex (or gotcha11l sex if you have sex with women)…."

But of course, "Sex should only happen between mature individuals who care about each other. You will know when the time is right." The brochure was written with the help of the Boston Alliance of Gay and Lesbian Youth and produced by The Campaign to End Homophobia.

A second brochure included 16 pages of Website addresses, telephone numbers and other information through which students can reach "gay" organizations, law firms, advocacy groups, support clubs and others.

It was made available through the National Youth Advocacy Coalition, which calls itself a "social justice organization that advocates for and with young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or questioning…"

"It is very scary," Camenker said.

He also said coming on the heels of the David Parker court case, this is what parents in Massachusetts should expect from their public schools.

In that case, U.S. District Judge Mark L. Wolf dismissed a civil rights lawsuit brought by Parker and ordered that it is reasonable, indeed there is an obligation, for public schools to teach young children to accept and endorse homosexuality.

The lawsuit was brought by parents of children in the Lexington, Mass., Estabrook Elementary School alleging the school violated state law and civil rights by indoctrinating their children about a lifestyle they, as Christians, teach is immoral.

Camenker's group called the ruling "every parent's nightmare."

"In the ruling, Wolf makes the absurd claim that normalizing homosexuality to young children is 'reasonably related to the goals of preparing students to become engaged and productive citizens in our democracy.' According to Wolf, this means teaching 'diversity' which includes 'differences in sexual orientation.'

"In addition, Wolf makes the odious statement that the Parkers' only options are (1) send their kids to a private school, (2) home-school their kids, or (3) elect a majority of people to the School Committee who agree with them. Can you imagine a federal judge in the Civil Rights era telling blacks the same thing – that if they can't be served at a lunch counter they should just start their own restaurant, or elect a city council to pass laws that reflect the U.S. Constitution?" the organization said.

Lawyers for the families said they already had planned an appeal of the judge's opinion.

Wolf concluded that even allowing Christians to withdraw their children from classes or portions of classes where their religious beliefs were being violated wasn't a reasonable expectation.

"An exodus from class when issues of homosexuality or same-sex marriage are to be discussed could send the message that gays, lesbians, and the children of same-sex parents are inferior and, therefore, have a damaging effect on those students," he opined.

Matt Barber, policy director for cultural issues for Concerned Women for America, called the Deerfield case unbelievable.

"It's not enough that students at Deerfield High are being exposed to improper and offensive material relative to unhealthy and high-risk homosexual behavior, but they've essentially been told by teachers to lie to their parents about it," he said.

The situation, according to district Supt. George Fornero, was partly "a mistake." He said the confidentiality agreement wasn't right, and the district would be honest with parents in the future.

This is sick and disgusting to the maximum. I can't imagine any decent parents tolerating this. It wasn't long ago that exposing minors to harmful materials such as this was a felony offense with prison terms. These laws should be put back into practice.

I guarantee there are still laws on the books about exposing various sexual materials to children under the age of 18. They might not be enforced, but they are there, and the subject material at issue is part of the law. It hasn't been that long ago that sodomy was a felony offense in all states, and it should be again. Many of the laws are still on the books - just not enforced because of various ultra-liberal court rulings. So, in effect, we have schools encouraging children to commit felony offenses, and schools are committing felony offenses by pushing this sick and perverted sexual material on children. There shouldn't be any second chance for the school board, and the judge needs to be recalled. Every parent needs to file a law suit right now and immediately remove their children from the school system until the law suits are settled. If the law suits are not resolved in a moral and proper manner, it's time to desert the public schools entirely and leave them for the sole use of the perverted.

Brothers and Sisters, it really doesn't get any more simple than this. Decent parents with any morals can't tolerate their children being taught this filth. Decent and moral parents could care less about what the gay, lesbian, and transgender perverts want. There will never be anything normal or acceptable about this perverted and disgusting behavior. It should also be noted that words are being tossed around that have no basis in reality. "Phobia" indicates an unreasonable fear of some sort, so "homophobia" would be an unreasonable fear of homosexuals. There is no fear of homosexuals, just DISGUST and refusal to accept this behavior as NORMAL, MORAL, OR ACCEPTABLE! So, take the word "homophobia" out of use, as it is NOT a valid term. Replace the term "homophobia" with terms that are accurate and resemble the truth:

UNACCEPTABLE

SINFULL

These terms are the truth, and decent people could really care less about what gay, lesbian, and transgender folks think about being told the truth. Eternity in the fires of hell will be a million times worse than someone telling them the truth and trying to point them to JESUS CHRIST and forgiveness. In fact, withholding the TRUTH from them is exceedingly CRUEL. The curse of sin and death is quite REAL, and FEAR RIGHT NOW about eternal consequences would be quite REASONABLE. So, there is also NO "PHOBIA" about HELL. I repeat that "phobia" indicates an unreasonable fear, and there is no unreasonable fear about the curse of sin, death, and HELL. JESUS CHRIST did die on the CROSS for everyone, and HIS Blood is powerful enough to forgive any sin.

These parents should be suing these people, the schools and the government as well as taking their children out of these schools. I pray that they get inundated by all the legal organizations that help fight this sort of thing all at the same time. I also pray that the people band together and vote any of the officials that had anything to do with this out of office.

What they are doing in the Massachusetts public schools is awful and so crazy!!  No wonder some of the children today are so confused, afraid and even committing suicide!   I hope they definitely vote the officials out that allowed this course.

About the term "homophobic", I say I am not afraid of homosexuals, but I believe the behavior is wrong and an abomination to God.  Just like people can go into the sin of adultery and fornication, they can choose to let their desires go into the homosexual realm.  Sin is sin and to be resisted.

I pray we can all lovingly teach our children what is right.  (I don't have children, but am like a grandma to a child, and try to help her as much as possible.)  It's important to stress that we should love all people with Christ's love, but we do not need to agree with wrong behavior.

I was just thinking about an ultimate REALITY: LOVE many times does involve telling the TRUTH, and anything else is cruel and hateful.

As a perfect example, why do Christians tell the lost about JESUS and the consequences of sin and death? Do we tell the lost about JESUS CHRIST because we hate them or because we love them and don't want to see them spend eternity in HELL? Why do we tell our children about poison, electricity, and other things that can harm or kill them? Does this have anything to do with a "phobia", an unreasonable fear? The obvious answer is no.

Are there really any parents who want their children to go through a living hell on earth during this short life? Are there any parents who want their children to experience the misery of emotional, psychological, and physical diseases that are most definitely caused by perverted lifestyles? Just on the physical disease issue, how many million people need to suffer and die before people get the hint that perverted lifestyles are hazardous to a person's health? How many millions have already died, and how many more millions are suffering a slow and painful death right now? I wonder if what they call fun was worth it. Knowing what they know now, I wonder if they would look back and be grateful for someone telling them the TRUTH and convincing them NOT TO DRINK THE POISON! If they don't seek JESUS and FORGIVENESS before they die, what do they have waiting for them in eternity? It is exceedingly CRUEL for us to withhold the TRUTH from them. It would be like doing nothing when we see a child about to drink DRANO! BUT, now our schools want to teach our children to drink DRANO, keep it secret from the parents, and tell the parents to sit down and shut up when they find out about this evil.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, no parent should be willing to sit down and shut up. For those who are drinking DRANO or thinking about drinking DRANO, surely most Christians have enough kindness and LOVE in their hearts to not sit back and do nothing. AIDS and many other diseases associated with sexual perversion are horrible, but there is much worse yet to come. No person or parent with a heart would want to see someone go through that kind of torture. BUT, Christians know the unending story of TRUTH, and that is even more unbearable. Are we really CRUEL enough to just sit down and be quiet? GOD help us - I hope not!

I must add that there is mental anguish and agony for a parent watching their child go through something like this. Growing armies of people have experienced this agony in their own families. What does it take to convince people that ALMIGHTY GOD - OUR CREATOR has already said NO! HE has said it most clearly all throughout the Holy Bible. This was a death sentence offense in the Old Testament, and GOD destroyed entire cities of people who practiced what GOD calls an abomination in HIS EYES. The New Testament no longer requires us to stone those to death who practice abomination, but that doesn't mean that there isn't any very real penalty. Those who practice this abomination are suffering and dying every day around the world, and the worst is yet to come for those who haven't accepted JESUS CHRIST as LORD and Saviour. SO, in this case, is it cruel to tell the TRUTH?

Amen!  Not long ago, they were trying to introduce "alternative lifestyles" to pre-school children.  This is deplorable and just another tactic of the enemy to attack our children as early as possible.  These so-call alternative lifestyles are sin, pure and simple.
