Please pray for Farin (8 years old). She has a temp of 106 right now! Her parents took her to the hospital yesterday when it was 104, but the medication won't kick in for 48 hours per the doctor. They are putting icy compresses on her to try to lower the fever. Please pray.

I am praying for Farin - it is so hard to see little ones get those fevers. I used to get them and my daughter gets them and Motrin doesn't even cool her down. Poor little Farin. My prayers are with you.

Thanks to all of you for praying for Farin. I was in touch with her mom daily....they took Farin back to the ER 3 nights ago, but it was swamped and the doctor would not admit her!? They plan to look for a new pediatrician.
As of yesterday, Farin's fever was down to 99 plus, coughing subsiding and she was starting to eat a little bit. (She lost alot of weight and is a slight built child as it is.)
Farin's mother (raised Muslim) asked me to thank everyone that prayed for Farin!! She was so happy about all of the prayers!! They get so concerned about her as she is so delicate. She is also a very sweet, kind child.
Please continue to pray for Farin when she starts back to school.....please pray she will make some friends. Thanks very much.

Thanks very much, please pray for her daddy, too. They both love their little girl very much. Oh, Farin sent me an ecard (with the help of mommy, I think).....she said she "felt lucky and very special" that so many people prayed for her!
