Brothers and Sisters,
I just installed a mini-weather station on my computer, and I'm extremely happy with it. It's called Weather Watcher, and it is freeware with no strings of any kind attached. I've tried other weather programs in the past that were system hogs, contained advertising, or had all kinds of other problems. Weather Watcher doesn't have ANY problems that I can find.
I got the program from Snapfiles and read 47 reviews first. Everyone loved it, and I now see why. It's extremely easy to use, easy to set up, and it has many options that don't take over your computer. I'm left with a small tray icon that I press to get updated weather information only for my city or whatever location I want to set.
YES - I got it because of all the winter storms we have been in. You can even set it to pop up alerts for severe weather, automatically update to the last weather observations however often you want to, and choose many options for what you want displayed - how - and when.
I've had pretty bad experiences with weather programs in the past, but this one does everything they say that it will. Another feature that I like is it isn't dependent on any particular kind of browser. You can use it without a browser at all or with just about any browser. I run mine alone and have it set to update itself every two hours.
It's great, and I highly recommend it! You can get the latest version from quite a few locations. I got mine from SnapFiles, and I've listed the home page of the author below. There are no gimmicks of any kind, and it is completely FREE with no strings attached.Weather Watcher
