Parents Rights that are being taken away by public school systems.

Bay Windows, the hardcore Boston homosexual newspaper which has published some of the most pornographic, anti-religious (particularly anti-Catholic) and genuinely hateful material one can imagine, has honored Lexington School Superintendent Paul Ash as one of their five "people who made a difference" in 2006.

Ash has become well known for his vociferous opposition to parent David Parker's right (and any parent's right) to be notified when their elementary school children are exposed to homosexuality, or taught to affirm homosexuality, by an adult. Ash has also written and spoken in the media about his insistence that homosexual issues are not covered in the state Parental Notification Law (which is supposed to cover "human sexuality issues"), and that parents are to be given no choice in these matters.

In the Bay Windows article, Ash certainly doesn't disappoint his audience. A few of his quotes:

    [Regarding teaching homosexuality in the schools:] "The district was committed to a certain set of values that I agreed with, so my job was to support that. But I also deeply believe that this is a civil rights issue . . . Do you stand up for what you believe are fundamental human rights? Are you really going to stand up when you're under a lot of pressure and say, this is what I believe, this is what we believe, and we are not going to be bullied by you?" said Ash.

    [Regarding parental rights:] "When anybody's been willing to listen to me I say, yes, you do have rights. You can choose not to send your child to a public school. But you don't have the right to tell us what we can teach or not teach unless you want to run for school committee, find a majority of the members of the school committee and then hire a superintendent who's consistent with that philosophy. But as an individual citizen you don't have the right to tell a first grade teacher what to teach or not teach," said Ash. "But I must tell you that the parents' rights argument resonates with a lot of people in America."

You simply cannot underestimate how repugnant this is to the average parents, who pays taxes and tryng hard to raise their children with proper values and beliefs. It resonates of Jim Crow, or worse. Unfortunately Ash represents just the tip of the iceberg in the public school system, which has been infiltrated over the years by some very radical and despotic people.

This is why all good citizens - not just a few - MUST be willing to confront this. As you can clearly see by this, the homosexual movement is deadly serious about proselytizing your children against your will, doing whatever it takes. Get involved, for the sake of all parents and children!

Parents need to do just that. Remove their children from this and all other such schools and leave superintendents like Ash without any students to teach this garbage to.

his arguements are filled with contradictions.

Our public schools are for OUR public education.  Like many things in OUR country it is a matter of majority rules.  He said that we do not have the right to dictate what is taught in our schools.  But the thing is that we do have that right.  We are paying for the school and thus we have the right to determine what is taught in those school.  His salary is paid by the local people of that community.  Thus if they do not want him there they should demand that he be replaced.

He even says that the parent right arguement is a large one. 

He says that the only right we have is to send our child to public school or private school.  That is also true.  But we also have the right to determine what is taught in our schools.  We do not have the right to opt not to pay his salary, so he does not have the right to tell us what our children can and cannot learn in our schools.

Another case of America turning over it's responsibility to the few.  More and more our freedom to make this country great is turned over to minority voices such as the ACLU, gay rights, and others.  We have squandered our rights and priveledges and catered to the whines of the few.  And I say whines and not needs because most of what has eroded our society is not truly needs.
