Iran hosts event to question whether Holocaust happened
IRAN is courting international outrage by hosting a conference that will ask whether the Holocaust actually happened.
Nearly 70 "intellectuals and researchers" from 30 countries - including unspecified persons from Britain - will attend the event in Tehran on Monday and Tuesday, Iran says.
The conference was proposed by the country's firebrand president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The hard-line leader ignited fury abroad a year ago when he described the slaughter of six million Jews by the Nazis during the Second World War a "myth" invented to justify Israel's existence.
He also labelled Israel a "tumour" that should be "wiped off the map" or moved as far away as Alaska.
Tony Blair earlier this year attacked the proposed conference as "shocking, ridiculous, stupid" and suggested Mr Ahmadinejad "should come and see the evidence of the Holocaust himself in the countries of Europe".
Tehran responded by inviting Mr Blair to the conference. Iran is refusing to name the international "scholars" attending because of fears their countries would ban them from going. The first question posed at the conference will be whether the Holocaust actually happened or not, Iran's deputy foreign minister, Manouchehr Mohammadi, said.
The conference is Iran's answer to the debate about freedom of speech over the cartoons insulting the Prophet Muhammad.
Mr Mohammadi said the West claims it has freedom of speech, but does not allow scholars to question the Holocaust.
But leading Iranian moderates are furious with Mr Ahmadinejad's Holocaust denial, which they believe is damaging their country. Mr Ahmadinejad's reformist predecessor, Mohammad Khatami, said: "We should speak out if even a single Jew is killed."

Muslim leader provided funds to Holocaust denier
'Rest assured many people are with you in your fight for the Truth'
The British Jewish community has expressed its concern after it was revealed that a leader of a controversial Muslim group sent funds and letters of support to convicted Holocaust denier David Irving.
Asghar Bukhari, a founder member of the Muslim Public Affairs Committee (MPAC), last month admitted sending the letters to Irving during the year 2000.
Irving, who has been imprisoned in Austria since September 2006 for for having denied the existence of gas chambers in National Socialist concentration camps in several lectures held in Austria in 1989.
The writer came to the public eye in 1998 after he launched a libel suit against American professor Deborah Lipstadt for comments in a book called Denying The Holocaust where Lipstadt branded Irving a Holocaust denier and an anti-Semite. Irving lost the case and was soon declared bankrupt having been forced to pay the costs of the case.
Joining the fight
In an article published in The Observer newspaper in November, letters sent by Bukhari to Irving illustrated his support for Irving.
Bukhari told Irving: “You may feel like you are on your own but rest assured many people are with you in your fight for the Truth.”
And referring to Paul Findley, a former US Senator, who has attacked his country’s close relationship with Israel, Bukhari added that he believed Findley “has suffered like you in trying to expose certain falsehoods perpetrated by the Jews.”
The article showed how Bukhari sent a cheque for 60 pounds to Irving and said he had “also asked many Muslim websites to create links to your own and ask for donations.”
When asked by The Observer about these letters, Bukhari claimed that he didn’t realise the extent of Irving’s Holocaust denial, even though that was precisely the reason he had become famous.
“At the time I was of the belief he [Irving] was anti-Zionist, being smeared for nothing more then being anti-Zionist,” Bukhari said, adding: “I had a lot of sympathy for anyone who opposed Israel. I wrote letters to anyone who was tough against the Israelis - David Irving, Paul Findley, the PLO."I don’t feel I have done anything wrong, to be honest.”
On the MPAC website Bukhari explained: “To this day I believe that any pro-Muslim or pro-Palestinian person charged with anti-Semitism is almost definitely innocent. If ever I heard that they were calling someone anti-Semitic, I no longer believed it, and I still don’t.
“I may have got it wrong with Irving, but I’m not taking any blame for that, the way I see it is you can’t blame a man for not believing a compulsive liar because one time he was telling the truth. The Zionists were always lying and smearing people. For once they told the truth and complained when people didn’t believe them.”
MPAC condemned
MPAC claims on its website to be “the UK’s Leading Muslim civil liberties group, empowering Muslims to focus on non-violent Jihad and political activism.”
However it was banned from university campuses in 2004 after being branded ’anti-semitic’ by the National Union of Students.
Lord Janner, Chairman of the Holocaust Educational Trust, condemned Bukhari for his views and actions.
He told the Jewish News: “I work together with Muslims, and leaders of other faiths, to prevent a repetition of the hideous Holocaust. To all of us, the support of a Holocaust denier is a grave error.”
And the Zionist Federation caled on media outlets to ignore MPAC.
A spokesman said: “Mainstream British media outlets have routinely sought comment and analysis from Asghar Bukhari and his MPAC organisation on Israel-related issues. Given that Bukhari has now been exposed as an unapologetic supporter of an anti-Semite and Holocaust denier, we trust that these media organisations will no longer do so.”

A fact that few people today know is the part that islam played with nazi Germany in the extermination of Jews during WW II nor the ties of those involved with the Palestinians.
Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini was born in Jerusalem from a prominent Muslim family. He became the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the de-facto leader if Arab Muslims after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. An infamous relative of the Grand Mufti Amin al-Husseini is Yasir Arafat, his nephew.
Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini wanted to eliminate every single Jew that were present in Arab land either by conversion, expulsion, or destruction. Before and during World War II he actively engaged and embraced Adolph Hitler and the Nazi's. Mufti Amin al-Husseini recruited and sent 20,000 Muslim volunteers to help the SS in killing Jews in Croatia and Hungary. Al-Huisseni actively proclaimed the elimination of Jews his entire lifetime.
After World War II he was detained by the French but escaped to Cairo. He later left for Beirut where he died in 1974.
Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini is the product of Islam. Being the leading Islamic cleric of his day and his open association with Adolph Hitler and the Nazi's will foretell the plight of the Palestinian Muslim for generations to come.
Yasir Arafat referred to his infamous uncle as "our hero al-Husseini" as a symbol of Palestinian Arab resistance.

And you will still find that the Palestinian Authority as late as 2003 was handing out copies of Mein Kampf
If that is not just too scary as well.

It is still 6th on the Palestinian best-seller list as of this year. There are probably a lot of the younger generation that does not know what Mein Kampf is. It is a disgusting book by Adolph Hitler. Mein Kampf means "My Struggle". It was considered the "Gospel of National Socialism." It is full of racism especially so against the Jewish people. It was and is the propaganda tool used to incite people against them. What doesn't make sense about this is that the book also places Arabs as a race lesser than the Aryans and to be in servitude to the Aryans.

There is that. Would be interesting to see if that PA version is true or of they swapped Aryan and Arabian... their media outlets do like to twist things.

I hadn't thought of that possibility. It would be interesting to know if that is the case.

Brother Jerry,
I just found an article on this by David Pryce-Jones. The version that was released to the Arab world in 1938 by Hitler himself tactfully omits from it his "racial ladder" theory. It is this issue that is being sold to them today. Even though the "racial ladder" was omitted it still contains anti-semitic statements.

Now that makes sense. I did not figure that Hitler would have given them ammunition for them to stab him in the back....
What is even sadder though is that today in the 21st century and in a world that is 60 years later. They can get a copy of the original text and see even the stance upon which Hitler stood when it came to the Arab nations. But yet it is only thier copy with that omitted that they would continue to espounse. I am sure if confronted they would do one of two or both things. 1) Claim it is a corruption and that the one they have is the true text...just like they say with the Jews and Christians and the word of God..we corrupted it. 2) Claim that after talking with Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini, Hitler changed his ways and embraced Islam as a friend and partner and reprinted his work.

They would probably say both all in one statement and breath. After all that is the way the reason such things.
I was watching an interview on FoxNews the other night with Nihad Awad, the Executive Director of CAIR. He made some similar double switch explanations of islam and the actions of cair.
