PBS targets dangerous Muslim Brotherhood Group operating in U.S. gave rise to al-Qaida, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad
The American PBS network is going after the dangerous Muslim Brotherhood and its operations in America in a forthcoming expose, WND has learned.
The explosive hour-long documentary, scheduled to air in the U.S. next year, will utilize investigative journalists Michael Isikoff and Mark Hosenball of Newsweek, project insiders say. They will be the lead reporters for the program.
The special is part of a series called "America at the Crossroads" that has been commissioned by PBS for public broadcasting in the U.S. It will be one of 15 documentaries in the series. Independent British production companies are making several of the documentaries, including the Muslim Brotherhood special.
FBI investigators tell WND that most of the major Muslim NGOs in America were founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood, a worldwide jihadist movement that gave rise to Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and al-Qaida. Osama bin Laden and his deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri, as well as 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, are all members of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The militant group's motto is: "The Quran is our constitution, the prophet is our guide; Death for the glory of Allah is our greatest ambition." The main goals of loyal members in the U.S. are propagating Islam in America, funding jihad and backing Israel's destruction, investigators say.
The related U.S. Muslim groups include the Saudi-backed Muslim Student Association, Islamic Society of North America and the North American Islamic Trust, which controls a great many of the mosques in America. Additionally, the Washington-based Muslim American Society is believed to be the U.S. branch of the Egypt-based Brotherhood.
Investigators also say the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations is connected through its forerunner, the Islamic Association for Palestine, a suspected political front group for Hamas.
Sources say the PBS documentary will also focus on Muslim activist and businessman Jamal Barzinji and his relationship with the Dar al-Hijrah mosque outside Washington, which ministered to the hijackers who rammed a jumbo jet into the Pentagon on 9/11.
Several board members of the terror-tied mosque have been linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. Barzinji signed the original deed to the mosque, according to investigative reporter Paul Sperry, author of "Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington." Barzinji at the time was head of the North American Islamic Trust.
Barzinji is a leader of the notorious Safa group, a conglomerate of Muslim charities and other entities raided by federal agents after 9/11. The terror money-laundering investigation, which to date has not produced criminal charges, is still active and linked to the Sami al-Arian investigation.
Al-Arian recently confessed to a single terrorism charge and is said to be cooperating in the Safa investigation.
A federal grand jury continues to hear evidence in the Safa case.
