Partial Birth Abortion on Trial, Let the Abortionists Speak for Themselves

On November 8th the Supreme Court is due to hear oral arguments in the case Gonzales v. Carhart.

 

In this case the Court will consider the constitutionality of the federal law (2003) prohibiting the practice known as partial birth abortion.  The last Supreme Court decision touching upon this practice, Stenberg v. Carhart (2000), overturned a state ban on partial birth abortion.

 

FRC, assisted by our friends at Alliance Defense Fund, has filed a brief in the case and will be present for oral argument.

 

At FRC, we wish every American could understand the barbaric nature of this practice, a practice the pro-abortion lobby is defending with all their resources.  Our recent publication, “Partial Abortion on Trial,” lets the abortionists speak for themselves.

 

Using actual trial testimony from abortionists during the trial in federal district court in New York, the abortionists tell about this grizzly practice.  These “medical professionals”  describe, under oath, in brutal detail this abominable procedure.

 

It is utterly rational for the Congress to prohibit it.  We hope the Court will agree.
