You and I have the potential to change the law and PUT AN END to the discrimination facing pastors and churches today.

Right now, groups like Americans United for Separation of Church and State are intimidating churches by threatening to have their tax-exempt status revoked by the IRS.

Under current law, the IRS has the right to censor the speech of pastors if it falls under their definition of political speech.

This inspires Americans United and other groups to intimidate pastors and Christian leaders into tiptoeing around current significant issues of the day, such as abortion or same-sex marriage - issues which every church should be free to discuss.

So it's urgently important that Congress pass the Houses of Worship Free Speech Restoration Act.

Through the Houses of Worship Free Speech Restoration Act, we can:

    * Remove the threat to churches of losing tax-exempt status for speaking out against evil in our society.
    * Give pastors the freedom to argue their perspective of truth in the marketplace of ideas without fear of reprisal.
    * Protect pastors and churches from bullying tactics that silence free speech while facilitating a healthy debate on the issues facing America.

It's still not too late, contact your representatives on this bill and let them know that we want them to pass it.
