A Poem

[Royo]

When the Lord has something for me to write, He just says to me, "paper and pen." And I write what He gives me.
The following is one that surprised me, for I had not ever written a poem like this. You may or may not like it, but here is what He gave me. It was written about 6 years ago.

                     THE TIME IS NEAR

TODAY MY LORD YOU FED MY SOUL, YOU TOUCHED ME FROM WITHIN.
YOU GAVE ME EVERYTHING I NEED, TO RUN THE RACE AND WIN.
I KNOW THAT DEEP WITHIN ME LORD, THE HOLY SPIRIT LIVES.
AND ALL YOU DO AND SAY THROUGH ME, COMES FROM THE ONE WHO GIVES.
I HUNGERED FOR YOUR TRUTH OH LORD, I YEARNED TO KNOW YOU MORE.
SO IN YOUR WISDOM AND YOUR GRACE, YOU SHOWED ME WHAT'S IN STORE.

MY SON I TELL YOU WHAT WILL BE, AND SHORTLY COME TO PASS.
UPON THIS LAND YOU CALL YOUR OWN, A SEA OF FALLING GLASS.
I WROTE TO YOU OF HE WHO'D COME, THE EVIL ONE OF OLD.
AND HOW HE'S SOON TO RULE THE WORLD, OF THIS I'VE ALL FORETOLD.
BUT OF YOUR LAND I BLESSED SO MUCH, THIS GREAT AND WONDROUS PLACE.
I SPEW IT FROM MY MOUTH THIS DAY, FOR IT IS A DISGRACE.
A GODLY NATION ONCE WAS IT, A LIGHT UNTO THE WORLD.
BUT NOW IT'S FULL OF SINFULNESS, TO SATAN IT'S BEEN HURLED.
THE TIME IS SHORT, THE DAY IS NEAR, IT'S JUDGEMENT IS AT HAND.
THIS ONCE AND MIGHTY LAND OF YOURS, WILL LOSE WHAT IT CALLS GRAND.
SO KNOW THE TRUTH AND HEAR MY WORDS, CONCERNING YOU AND YOURS.
FOR I WOULD HAVE YOU UNDERSTAND, THAT I HAVE OPENED DOORS.
THIS DAY THAT IS TO SHORTLY COME, AND TAKE AWAY THE PEACE.
IS ONLY FOR THE ONES WHO SEEK, FOR SIN TO NEVER CEASE.
SO KNOW MY SON AND SPREAD THE WORD, UNTO THOSE I CALL MINE.
THAT I WILL BE THERE WITH YOU ALL, AND THROUGH IT ALL YOU'LL SHINE.
UNTIL THAT DAY I CATCH YOU UP, TO EVER BE WITH ME.
CONTINUE IN MY WORD AND PRAYER, AND ALL THIS TRUTH YOU'LL SEE.
FORGET NOT WHAT I'VE SAID TO YOU, AND KNOW THAT IT IS TRUE.
I REWARD ALL WHO SEEK AND PRAY, THE CALLED AND CHOSEN FEW.

"And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed." [Romans 13.11].

Thank you my friend.
As for publishing: all in His good time. He has yet to give me the go ahead.
Even my life story of suicide, and then being saved, when I first wanted to write it, He said no. Then 5 years later told me to write it. LIFE INSTEAD OF DEATH.
I realized I would not have been as honest earlier. When Roy was a jerk, I needed to say so. The book had to be about Jesus, not about me. Praise His name, He knew what He was doing.
