Hi again carey. Yes there are some that think so. Personally I disagree that the EU is the beast but rather that the Beast may make use of the EU, that he will be the head of the EU. Another possibility that I have thought of is that the Beast may be the leader of the Caliphate ( islamic organization revived ). We have a number of threads here that cover this subject to a great detail. They are mostly in the General Theology section and the Prophecy - Current Events section.
