Amen Brother Tom!

Hi Pizza_Al,

The important thing is that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour and are following Him.

As for starting a church you don't need to know how to build one. Church can be held anywhere, in the open air or in a tin hut. It doesn't matter as long as you are worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth.

I was in Guam back in 1979 to 1981 and that is how we worshipped the Lord then, in the open air.

I am the son and grandson of preachers. I think that I've been to church in just about every possible location (i.e. barns, empty buildings of all kinds, tents, under trees, on street corners, and you name it.). You are completely correct - the location of the service really isn't that important. My dad used to do church services before and after cattle auctions all over Oklahoma and Texas. He was only 5'6" tall, so it was hard to see him in many places unless he stood on a box or something. YES, he preached many sermons from the top of various types of feed and water containers for cattle. Bless his heart - he's home with the LORD. They also had services during harvest while the workers took a break. Where two or three gather in the name of JESUS, HE is there.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Matthew 11:28-30 NASB  "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.  "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.  "For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

Amen, I am sure that I would have enjoyed listening to him. One of the services I attended as a teenager was held in the middle of a hog farm. Talking about being as happy as a pig in a mud puddle .....   Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

There was some wonderful Christian fellowship afterwards with the biggest hog roast I have ever seen and lots of COFFEE.

I am sure I am speaking for all of us here Al
We will be praying for you and for Guam to establish a church for Christ there.

I will also check out some of the missionary letters I have reviewed at our church and see if I can find any that are working in that area.  If I find anything I will send you a private message.

Brother I was not meaning for you to become a missionary but to contact them to see about churches that may be in the area.

Information of that sort could never hurt.  I would only provide you with the information.
