Many Christians talk about their "doctrine" based on their church affiliations rather than based on the Holy Bible.
I have found many "Christians" not faithful to Christ alone but to their own church denomination or traditions.
I find it hard to believe that those who truly love Christ and have a testimony in their hearts would lift up Luther, Westley, Joseph Smith and others as if they sacrificed their lives for these individuals. I find their loyalty misguided and sentimental, filled with hypocrasy and idol worship.
Does anyone just love Jesus out there? Does anyone just live by the Word of God and a relationship with Christ? Must their be "religion" to cloud a person's soul with doctrines of men?
Where are all the true believers? Does anyone just follow after Christ anymore?
While I enjoy my church fellowship they are NOT God. While I love good preaching and teaching, they are not Jesus, by any means.
Does it matter who founded their church? Do we really need church "manuals" telling us what the "rules" are to attend a specific congregation?
I don't think it was Jesus' intention to create 500 denominations and offshoots of the "born again" believer.
I am wondering, in these last days, who are the ones that follow the Lamb wherever He goes.
I think about all the people caught up in the own personal interpretations and "doctrines of men" and wonder if Jesus truly is their Savior and Lord, or if the doctrines of "churchianity" has been taken more seriously than the Doctrines of Jesus Christ, according to the Word of God.
I dare to believe God Almighty and trust Him alone and His Word to lead and guide my life. I trust the Spirit of God inside me to lead me into all the truth of the Word of God and to show me Jesus according to Scripture.
Am I alone? Does anyone just love Jesus anymore? Or is it really all about "church"?
According to the Bible, we cannot GO TO CHURCH, we ARE THE CHURCH.
For the Lord of Hosts writes the Word on the tablets of our hearts so that we might know Him and live our lives in separation and holiness unto Him. After all, it really IS ABOUT HIM, RIGHT?
When did it become all about us and our "preferences"?
Any help in understanding would be greatly appreciated.
Will the true Body of Christ please take a stand?
I'm standing too! The word religion is an action word. It is our expressions of our inward faith. How I express my faith in how I perceive God's Word might be different from another. We shouldn't expect others to express their faith the way we do. Sure, all should be one in God's Spirit and express Him the same, because He is the same always and never changes, but we are not all perfected as one just yet. Soon, the veil of flesh will be lifted and we will all see Him as He is and all see the same. Doozer
