Zola Levitt

"Zola Levitt Presents," a long-running, issue-oriented weekly TV program often critical of the jihadist ideology within Islam, has been canceled by the Trinity Broadcasting Network, producers says, because of efforts by TBN to cater to its growing audience in the Arab world.

Though spokesmen for TBN were unavailable over the weekend for comment, the cancellation, effective today, would make it the second long-time program scrubbed by the largest Christian broadcaster because of sensitivities about Muslim content.

In January of this year, Hal Lindsey's "The International Intelligence Briefing," notified TBN he would not be back because of what he considered to be efforts to muzzle his opinions about radical Islam.

Lindsey, author of "The Late Great Planet Earth" and considered to be the biggest selling author alive today and a weekly columnist for WND, had anchored the program for the last 12 years on the world's largest Christian network.

Zola Levitt Ministries made the announcement about TBN in the September issue of its newsletter, the Levitt Letter.

"Our television ministry could be facing its own Armageddon of sorts," wrote Mark Levitt. "TBN committed to continuing our broadcasts only so long as we could furnish new programs that featured Zola. A high-level TBN executive suggested that Jeff's TV series on Isaiah would be satisfactory thereafter in terms of being neither too pro-Israel nor unduly anti-Arab. TBN, you see, is modifying its programming to be suitable for broadcast in Arab nations. Despite our best efforts to appease their programming directors, our last program on TBN will air on Monday, Aug. 28."

The show will continue on the Internet and as well on hundreds of other independent stations and networks, Mark Levitt explains.

The program also will continue to air on several networks via the Sky Angel satellite television system, according to Sky Angel Vice President Nancy Christopher. [For program details, type in 'Levitt' in search engine on Sky Angel page]. The networks are Angel Two, Guardian Television, Total Living Network and Liberty Channel.

Zola Levitt, known for the tagline, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem," died last April after a battle with cancer. His television program and his teachings emphasized the Jewish roots of Christianity.

I think that says it all.

I did not know that Zola Levitt had passed away. God Bless his soul... WOW.. TBN, wonder how many others will start to pull their programs due to their "dancing around the Arabs".  And with Hal Lindsey making an exit.... that says a mouth full to me!!

2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but having itching ears, they shall heap to themselves teachers in accordance with their own lusts.

2 Timothy 4:4
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned toward fables.
