Terror sounding board to Americans: "Vote Democratic"
Message from al-Jazeera

Al-Jazeera, a television network with a history of granting an outlet for militant hate-America Islamofascism, is now spreading the word to Americans to "vote Democratic."

That is not taken out of context. It is an exact quote. It came in an editorial on the Al-Jazeera website. The occasion was an all-out vicious attack on Senator Rick Santorum for his speech July 20 at the National Press Club.

As noted in this column last week, the Pennsylvania Republican senator warned that we must bring clarity to what is often called "the war on terror." That war, he said, is actually a war with Islamic fascism, and we need to start calling it by its correct name.

Having been in Washington for 16 years, the senator had to know that even though he took pains to emphasize he was not speaking in general terms of all those of Arabic origin or of the Muslim faith, that part of his speech would be ignored. The apologists for those who practice — as Tony Blair characterizes it, "a perversion of the Islamic religion" — would be sure to vilify Senator Santorum and distort his words. Even though he is up for re-election in a tough race, he chose not to "play it safe." He laid it on the line anyway.

Al-Jazeera, which plans to spread its propaganda through the television screens of the United States, quickly responded to Senator Santorum's warnings. The bottom line in the website article, authored by Mohammed Khaku is, "Don't ask Santorum to 'apologize,' folks. Vote Democratic."

If Democrats do not unequivocally and without fanfare disavow any support from al-Jazeera, they should be held responsible for shrugging off the senator's warning that "[E]very major Islamic fascist leader, from heads of state to heads of al-Qaeda and Hezbollah, has openly identified the United States as their prime target, and repeatedly promises the creation of a new global 'caliphate' where Islamic fascism will rule mankind. This language comes from Sunni and Shi'ite fanatics, whether Arab, Persian, Indonesian, American, or British."

If the Democrats want to play Neville Chamberlain to Santorum's Winston Churchill, let them take responsibility for it and face the political consequences. We won the war against the Nazis and the Cold War against the Communists in spite of the appeasers. They assured us there was no threat. This time, we have an enemy that is prepared to go up in flames with us if that's what it takes to defeat us. This time, we cannot afford to be lulled to sleep by the appeasers' soothing rhetoric. As Senator Santorum said, "It's an old, sad story, isn't it? Over and over again, our enemies announce their intention to attack us, and we refuse to believe them."

When one considers the track record of al-Jazeera for aiding and abetting the Islamofascist cause, Senator Santorum might want to urge his opponent in his re-election bid to disavow the support he received on the television network's website. No wonder the senator's opponent, Bob Casey, Jr., has ducked and dodged debating him before finally agreeing to a grand total of one such encounter just before the election.

And what other slurs have appeared on that website?

For that, we are indebted to the media critic Honest Reporting (HR) which cites the following "reporting" on the al-Jazeera web page — that: (1) President Bush gave Israeli President Ariel Sharon "a license to kill" to eradicate "Palestinian nationalism"; (2) suicide terrorists are described as "self-sacrificing fighters"; (3) a review of massacres in the Arab-Israeli conflict contains only examples of Israeli acts with no mention of Arab terrorism.

Adds HR: "Al-Jazeera, with 35 million daily viewers and plans to enter North American cable, is a growing force in propagating anti-Israel and anti-American lies under the guise of objective 'news.'" Skeptics of allowing al-Jazaeera's TV propaganda here in the U.S. fear that the result may be to incite some Arab-Americans to suicide bombings on our own city streets.

That is by no means far-fetched. As mentioned in this column last week, Hezbollah has cells in major cities coast-to-coast right here in the USA. Why Congress has not launched a full-scale probe of this (as we have urged) challenges the imagination.

Some U.S. journalists — including Meet the Press host Tim Russert — have raised questions as to how al-Jazeera keeps getting its hands on Osama bin Laden's threatening tapes and other recorded terrorist diatribes. What connections does the terror network have that it can easily obtain that stuff?

In 2003, Salemah Nematt — Washington bureau chief of the Arabic language newsletter Al-Hayatt — told a National Press club audience that large numbers of Middle Eastern people were beginning to see the murder of innocents as "legitimate." He thinks this in large part is because al-Jazeera glorifies it.

Al-Jazeera has repeatedly been accused of skewing the news to favor Islamofascist terrorists in virtually every Middle East conflict. Thus, anything that al-Jazeera has to say about the current fighting between Israel and Hezbollah can be taken with a healthy grain of salt.

Howard Kurtz in an October 8, 2005, Washington Post article wrote that Al Jazeera's reputation wasn't helped when a Spanish court "sentenced former correspondent Taysir Alouni to seven years in prison on charges of collaborating with al-Qaeda." A Spanish judge in the case recently said Alouni had ties to a terrorist cell that planned 9/11.

Honest Reporting's critique of al-Jazeera was prompted by a New York Times article of last February (also published in the Times-owned International Herald Tribune) that was "highly sympathetic" to the Qatar-based TV network, crediting it for "balanced coverage." Judging by much of what the Gray Lady considers "All the News That's Fit to Print," one should not be shocked that the Times considers al-Jazeera "balanced."

That brings us to the part of Senator Santorum's speech wherein he referred to "some people inside the [U.S.] government and their allies in the media [who] undermine critical national security programs [for example, by publicizing the NSA anti-terrorist monitoring and terrorist money transfers]."

All of this points again to the mainstream media's failure to identify our enemy. They are lulling Americans into a false sense of security as to who the enemy is.

The "bigger problem," as Santorum sees it, is "our fear of speaking clearly, publicly, and consistently about the enemy. It is unfashionable in some quarters to speak about the Islamofascists because of the misguided cultural reflex that condemns anyone who speaks critically about others' practices or beliefs. Therefore, we can't say or do anything that might offend Muslims."

But the Pennsylvania senator says that logic is "backwards."

"The real offense to Muslims," he said at the Press Club, "is to remain silent about an ideology that produces the systematic murder of innocents. Mostly Muslim innocents. They are the first victims of Islamic fascism, and the enemy directly targets them, as we have heard once again in the most recent audiotape from Osama bin Laden."

"Those who refuse to criticize Islamic fascism," according to the senator, "undermine the cause of freedom of religion because if the Islamic fascists win this war, no other religion will be permitted to flourish."

Al-Jazeera's website attack on Santorum, of course, did not include that part of his speech. Instead, the hit piece called his speech "outrageous," "inflammatory," "un-American," and "prejudicial," and said it "shows his clear hatred of all Muslims." Not true, as evidenced in the above quotes which al-Jazeera did not deem fit to repeat. Name-calling, in al-Jazeera's approach, answers everything.

Then comes the old dodge of moral equivalence: "The senator should know that extremists come in all faiths." This is a not-so-subtle hint that an ideology advocating the murder of innocent human beings is in the same category as fundamentalist Protestants, Orthodox Jews, practicing Mormons, Santorum's own devout Catholicism, and for that matter, innocent Muslims.

Every patriot of whatever faith or political persuasion will assist Senator Rick Santorum in his uphill battle this year in the blue state of Pennsylvania.

They want us to vote Democratic and yet islam is against Democracy. Muslims all want and strive for Sharia law a law dealt out by an organization known as the Caliphate. They want us to vote Democratic. My question is why?  Think about this for a minute. A minute is all it should take.

Islamist terror twins

It took the United States four years after September 11 to develop a useful working definition of the gravest danger to world peace. Last October President Bush finally identified our enemies: "Islamic Radicals... empowered by helpers and enablers... strengthened by front operations who aggressively fund the[m]." Making no distinction between Sunni or Shi'ite radicals, he concluded that defeating "the murderous ideology of the Islamic Radicals," is the "great challenge of our century."
Mr. Bush keeps addressing the turmoil in the Middle East -- focusing on Hezbollah -- as a regional struggle. Yet, defeating Israel and controlling the Middle East is only part of the global mission of both Sunni and Shi'ite terrorists. Their goal is to establish the Caliphate, extending the rule of Shariah to the entire world.
Israel is now fighting two of radical Islam's most virulent versions -- the Shi'ite Hezbollah and the Sunni Hamas. Israel fights not only for its own survival. Its ability to defeat Hamas and Hezbollah, will determine the survival of the United States and all Western-style democracies
When Hezbollah attacked Israel over two weeks ago, the Mr. Bush accused Syria of being the primary sponsor of Hezbollah, providing it with shipments of Iranian-made weapons. The president added: "Iran's regime has also repeatedly defied the international community with its ambition for nuclear weapons and aid to terrorist groups. Their actions threaten the entire Middle East and stand in the way of resolving the current crisis and bringing lasting peace to this troubled region."
One wonders what the leader of the free world needs to witness before he connects the dots. Radical Islam, or Islamofascism, as he himself described it on other occasions, is not limited to the Middle East, or promoted and advanced only by Iran, Hezbollah and Syria. Sunni radicals -- such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the numerous offspring of al Qaeda -- pose similar threats to Israel, the region, the United States and the rest of the world.
All radical Muslims, according to the president, are terrorists "target[ing] nations whose behavior they believe they can change through violence." Their goal, he said, is to "establish a radical Islamic empire that spans from Spain to Indonesia, Then, they "would be able to advance their stated agenda: to develop weapons of mass destruction, to destroy Israel, to intimidate Europe, to assault the American people, and to blackmail our government into isolation."
"Against such an enemy there is only one effective response," concluded Mr. Bush: "We will never back down, never give in, and never accept anything less than complete victory." Yet, Israel is pressured for restraint by most U.S. allies, including the Saudis.
Nonetheless, the White House, politicians and the international media fall all over themselves to praise the Saudis for admonishing Hezbollah as yet more evidence of their commitment to ending extremism. In fact, the Saudis demonstrate their commitment only to end Shi'a extremism. In typical double-talk, while lambasting Hezbollah, the Saudis refrain from condemning Hamas, and in fact, they are its principle financiers from the beginning.
On Tuesday, the Saudi Government announced generous financial contributions to rebuild Lebanon and Palestine. The Saudis also held a well-advertised "popular fundraising campaign," urging Saudis, all Arabs and Muslims "to show the usual generosity and commitment towards the Arabs and Muslin Nation." Last week's Saudi Telethon raised $32 million, and an additional $13.5 million was raised in the UAE. There is little doubt that some of this money would find its way to the families of "martyrs" from Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad carrying out the "mission" of Jihad.
This fundraiser brings back memories of previous Telethons such as the April 2002 King Fahd-sponsored fundraiser for the Palestinian intifada, and the August 2005 Saudi fundraiser for the Palestinian cause, aired on Iqra TV. The organizers then stated: "Jihad is the pinnacle of Islam. A person who cannot wage Jihad with his soul is required to wage Jihad with his money...our brothers in Palestine desperately need financial support, which goes directly to this cause, and helps them to carry out this mission." On July 27, $29 million were raised in the latest Saudi telethon. Some of this money would surely find its way to the families of "martyrs" from Hamas and Islamic Jihad carrying out the "mission" of Jihad.
The radical Sunni modus operandi differs not at all from that of Hezbollah's Shi'ite terrorists. Al Qaeda and Hamas also provide social services, jobs, medical care and schools to the needy. And like Iran and Hezbollah, the Saudis use their fortunes both to fund radical terrorist groups and to develop vast international Islamic communications networks -- which they leverage in order to expand their anti-American and anti-Israel propaganda, while aptly manipulating U.S. leaders and the media.
The Saudi fears of a nuclear Iran are behind their condemnation of Hezbollah. However, since Hassan Nasrallah is now the leading figure of the Arab world, supported by The Muslim Brotherhood, and "the most prominent cleric in the Arab world, [Sheikh Yousef Al]Qaradhawi," the Saudis can not afford to ignore Nasrallah's popularity. That is why the Saudis publicly asked the United States to pressure Israel into ceasefire. But the growing violence of and anti-American propaganda by Sunni radical groups worldwide funded by Saudi paymasters should serve as potent reminder for the U.S. to demand that our Saudi "ally" stop their own terrorist financing and the propagation of their own version of radical Islam -- Wahhabism, around the world. Moreover, the United States should focus on developing alternative energy sources, consequently reducing billions of dollars now available to fund terrorism.

Muslim cleric goes on trial
(Reuters)
Updated: 2006-07-31 16:09

TASHKENT - A Muslim cleric accused of terrorism is due to go on trial in Uzbekistan on Monday in a case seen by rights activists as part of a clampdown on people who operate outside a state-approved version of Islam.

Uzbekistan, a Muslim Central Asian state, is criticised in the West for jailing religious activists and using torture in jails. President Islam Karimov says he is fighting extremists who want to set up an Islamic caliphate in his ex-Soviet state.

Human Rights Watch said Imam Rukhiddin Fakhrutdinov was kidnapped by Kazakh security forces and deported to Uzbekistan in late 2005. He is now accused of extremism and involvement in acts of violence that hit Uzbekistan in 2004, it said.

"He was among dozens of other Uzbek nationals who fled religious persecution in Uzbekistan and were living in southern Kazakhstan," it said.

Uzbek security officials were not available for comment. Human Rights Watch said Kazakh officials deny arresting Fakhrutdinov.

Uzbekistan tolerates only a state-approved version of Islam.

Karimov says "terrorists" tried to stage a coup in the town of Andizhan last year. Witnesses said hundreds of unarmed people were killed when troops opened fire on a crowd. The government says 187 people, either extremists or police, were killed.

The West has criticised Uzbekistan for using the uprising in Andizhan as an excuse to step up its campaign against dissent.

Brother, they know they can't win the hearts of Americans through terror.  So they are trying a psychological approach.  Sorry al-Jazeera, that gives me more reason to vote Republican.  This is a free country, and I'll vote how I feel.

Here is an apology to al-Jazeera

On the one hand, right thinking Americans will abhor the stupidity of the actions while on the other hand, political glee will take control and fashion this minor event into some modern day My Lai massacre

I heard some arabs and muslims are asking for an apology I humbly offer mine here;

I’m sorry that the last seven times us Americans took up arms and sacrificed the blood of our youth, it was in the defense of muslims (Afghanistan, Beirut, Bosnia, Kosovo, Gulf War 1&2, Kuwait, etc.).

I’m sorry that no such call for an apology upon the extremists came after 9/11. I’m sorry that all the murders on 9/11 were Islamic Arabs.

I’m sorry that most Arabs and muslims have to live in squalor under savage dictatorships. I’m sorry that their leaders squander their wealth. I’m sorry that their governments breed hate for the US in their religious schools, mosques and government-controlled media

I’m sorry that no other Arab country will take in or offer more than a token amount of financial help to those same Palestinians.

I’m sorry that the USA has to step in and be the biggest financial supporter of poverty stricken Arabs while the insanely wealthy Arabs blame the USA for all their problems

I’m sorry that our own left wing elite, our media, and our own brainwashed elements of our society like radical professors, CNN, NY TIMES, and the WASHINGTON POST and masses do not understand any of this. I’m sorry the United Nations scammed the poor people of Iraq out of the food for oil money so they could get rich while common folk suffered.

I’m sorry that some Arab governments pay the families of homicide bombers upon their death. I am sorry that those same bombers are brainwashed thinking they will receive 72 virgins in "paradise.”

I’m sorry that the homicide bombers think pregnant women, babies, children, the elderly and other noncombatant civilians are legitimate targets. Come try it against a man, wimps.

I’m sorry that our troops die to free more Arabs from the gang rape rooms and the filling of mass graves of dissidents of their own making.

I’m sorry that muslim extremists have killed more Arabs than any other group.

I’m sorry that foreign-trained terrorists are trying to seize control of Iraq and return it to a terrorist state. I'm sorry we don't drop a ten dozen Daisy cutters on Fallujah.

I’m sorry every time terrorists hide they find a convenient "Holy Site". I am sorry they didn't apologize for driving a jet into the World Trade Center that collapsed and severely damaged Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church - one of our Holy Sites.

I am sorry they don’t apologize for flight 93 and 175, the USS Cole, the embassy bombings, the murders and beheadings of Nick Berg and Daniel Pearl, etc..etc!

I am sorry Michael Moore is American; he could feed a medium sized village in Africa.

America will get past this latest absurdity. We will punish those responsible because that is what we do. We hang out our dirty laundry for the entire world to see. And we will move on. That's one of the reasons we are hated so much. We don't hide this stuff like all those Arab countries that are now demanding an apology.

Our compassion is tempered with the vivid memories of our own people killed, mutilated and burnt amongst a joyous crowd of celebrating Fallujans.

If you want an apology from this American, you're going to have a long wait.

You have a better chance of finding those 72 virgins.

So stick that, in your ear. Angry
