Are there?

Of course, I LOVE EM Bounds, Fritz Ridenhour (sp?), Jerry Bridges, and Lucado (etc...)

But, as a new & used books bookstore owner.... we have lots of Sci-Fi/Fantasty readers so I've picked up reading quite a few.  Just finished "The Last Mortal Man" by Syne Mitchell & Ender's Game by Orson S. Card - GOOD sci-fi books.  But I like Terry Goodkind, Terry Brooks, Ted Dekker, Sara Douglass and Barbara Hambley.

Anyone else?

I enjoy a good fantasy book every now and then as well.  Salvatory, Adams, Brust, and more.

I spend more time in my Bible and study material both spiritual and professional than anything else but when I just want to kick back and relax.  It is fantasy/action/suspense/thriller type of things.  Smiley

Welcome to the boards.

I like science fiction sometimes. I don't get into it much though as I usually have something more important to do. It's the technology part of them that intrigues me. I don't like all the weird ones with evil monsters nor the ones that either mock God or emphasize false Gods.

I enjoy the series, "Dragonriders of Pern" by Anne McCaffery.  Pastor Roger, trust me, you would not like the books of Terry Goodkind.

Though I spend far more time with the Bible, then any other book.

I grew up on sci-fi. I read all the classics by Heinlien, Andre Norton, Asimov. After I became a Christian I have tried to find some Christian sci-fi authors. There are some out there!
Chris Walley has a series called "the Lamb among the stars" I've read the first two books, The Shadow at Evening, and  The Power of the Night and they were great! He's got two more due out in October.
I found  Arena By: Karen Hancock to be a good read too.
