Those who practice true love never seek reward for acts of love for the following reasons. 1) The privilege to love and serve others itself is the greatest reward, because, this give them a share in God’s life. They are, therefore, exceedingly thankful to God, for performing acts of love through them. 2) To love others is their heart’s desire.  Therefore, when they love others by their acts, it is a reward or a gift to them.  God gives us a free gift. His gift is the gift of His own life, which He gave us by sacrificing His own life.  It is the only gift that is real, because, it is the only gift that gives us life and is eternal.  To accept this gift, is to live His life of sacrificial and life giving forgiveness. To live this life is our reward.

surrendersacrifice:
God stayed faithful to His promise although we were unfaithful to Him, betrayed Him and killed Him. He expressed it by accepting death in order to compensate for our sins. Furthermore, He commands us to love one another in a similar manner (Jn 13:34).

John 13: 34 - 35 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

My ture reward (since I have my eyes on eternity and not on this world) is the Lord with His wonderful salvation for me.  Knowing this life is just ONE pebble of sand on the beach, in comparrision to my life in eternity where there will be no more sorrow, no more pain, no more tears, no more death.  In this life on earth is the magnificent inner peace that comes from bible doctrine, where it really doesn't matter what happens, for he is always with me.  I have never had such inner peace and contentment.
