A Jack Rabbit. I saw a lot of them on Rough and Ready Island, Naval Communistaions Station, Stockton, CA. There were no natural predators on the island so we had to go out and cull them once a year to prevent being over run by them. The only way to cook 'em is in a stew. They are too tough for cooking any other way. We had a base wide party with all the families invited (at least 600 people) and still had a lot to take home.

ok, i know God have us animals to eat but still....come on!  Cry My first urge was to give this cuty and big hug and kiss....not to eat the poor guy!  Tongue  He IS adorable though. i love bunnies
