Looking Over the Horizon

The invention of  radar has given us the ability to
peek over the horizon and detect the presence of
objects that are beyond our normal view.
Hope and faith make up our own personal radar. Hope
and faith allows us to look beyond the limited view
we have of our present circumstances and see that
something is there for us just beyond the horizon.
Radar works by detecting the echo of the radio signal
it sends out. The signal bounces off the distant object
and the radar sees something is there.  The signal our
personal radar of hope and faith sends out is our prayers.
God's promises to answer our prayers is the echo our
personal radar detects.  By this we know that something is
there for us even if it is out of sight at the present time.

2Co 5:7  (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Heb 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Amen Pastor Roger!

I liked the analogy between radar and prayer. As we grow stronger in JESUS and mature as Christians, I give thanks that JESUS becomes an absolute reality for us. YET, when we witness, it's still like telling them there is a reality they can't see on the other side of the hill. We can do many other things, but we can't offer proof that JESUS is in our hearts. I many times wish that we could, but then it wouldn't be faith.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Colossians 3:15-16 NASB  Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
