Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

That's great news Angelmom! How wonderful that you and your children are celebrating together, and alas, I will pray for the lost one ~ but I must say that with a mom like you getting stronger in Christ, I predict it won't be long until he surrenders to Jesus also.
Now I have a question on the same topic .... I was baptized when I was 12 years old in a baptist church. However, my christianity was not nurtured so I strayed and stayed "in the world" for many years (dare I admit to 30??). Now I have renewed faith, a strong constitution and a closer walk with Jesus . . OK, so finally the question: Should I be baptized again? I'm no longer "baptist" but non-denominational). I believe that water baptism is a symbol of our spiritual "birth" and since I'm renewed spiritually I'm just wonder if I should do it again.
Blessings~ >^..^<

Sister Terri, that is something that you need to resolve between you and God. However the Bible does not say that we should be baptized again and again. It only tells us to do so once. I agree that baptism by water is of a symbolic nature. An announcement to the world that we are accepting Jesus Christ as our Saviour. A symbol of being washed in the blood of Christ and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We are washed by the blood of Christ and baptized by the Holy Spirit but once, we are then sealed unto the time that Jesus returns for us.
2Co 1:21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 2Co 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Hey Sis! I have to agree with PR on this one, with one addition: Doing so again presupposes that you won't fail again. BELIEVE ME Sis, I'm not trying to set you up for a fall. I'm simply putting things into perspective. It is HE Who has begun this good work in you and it is HE Who will perform it until that day. He will work inspite of you. The more obedient, faithful and committed to Him you are is that much more like Him He will conform you to be. That much, and more for the world to see Him in you. We all fail. That's no excuse. But we must all forget the past and press on towards the mark. Failure to do so is holding ourselves accountable for sins He's already forgiven. You're His work Sis.

There is a song I like a lot called "Angels Are Dancing". Some lyrics are "angels are dancing in heaven tonight..., if you listen you can hear the joyful sounds! and the depths of hell are shaking at the quake of heaven's thunder . . . oh the angels are dancin' cause another wayward child has been found . . ." and that is what I thought of when I read Angelmom's post that they had been baptized. I think it's precious that her family is serving God together. May the Lord richly bless them.
