2Co 6:14  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

This is not to say that you should leave a spouse for this reason if you have already commited yourself to them.

It is not a wise idea to start a relationship with someone that you know is a nonbeliever. It creates many problems in your own walk with God.

I agree with PR.  A Christian should not endeavor a romantic relationship with a non-believer.... it causes a lot of problems in a marriage ~ I speak from experience!  I'm married to a non-believer and it is a major bone of contention between us.

I vote "NO".

Blessings~

I believe the Bible is very clear, but the Lord does have a way of bringing situations and people into ones life that simply can not be avoided. The real question is what will you do if you find yourself in this situation? Really, at the end of the day, for people struggling with this, what will you do? Sometimes God is up to something, directly involved, take the issue to Him.  As I said, I agree, it would be very hard for me to be involved (married) to a nonbeliever, but thats my life and my walk.  I remember at one point I did find myself in this situation as far as dating was concerned.  It was very hard, I brought it to God, left it to him and he used a Tree!   Ephesians 6:10-18
